This makes me so sad. But I love the dauntingness of the message. Good job.

This is scary, and so true.
I had a 9-year-old come into my work and order a footlong sub and request that it be cut into four pieces because she wanted to eat each piece per day. Why? She said she was on a diet, because she was fat. She wasn't at all. I asked her who put her on this diet, and she said it was herself, because she was fat. She was smaller than the girl in the picture.
It's so sad..... and this portrait shows the cold truth wonderfully.

It really /is/ scary...
I've had my share of hospitals, and I just remember the first day at one, seeing a 10 year old girl counting calories in her head. I could give her a certain brand of something, and she'd automatically know how many calories and grams of fat. I was in shock and disappointed.
I suppose that's society for you though.

At that age, all I cared was playing, sleeping, school and summer. and eating my snack in the afternoon.
Wow, 42% :/

So, so sad.
When I was that age, I was a stick. And I got made fun of for it. It's depressing how much things have changed since then, and I'm only 19, so it hasn't been that long.

this is so moving and sad. sad even more because its true. my thoughts of 'omigodfat' starting around 4th grade, and I graduated high school in 2006.
pictures like this are the one that I hope where people will really see that an Eating Disorder isn't a lifestyle or fad. It's a disease that has taken too many lives of woman [and men].

This makes me soo sad. I work with kindergarteners and it's true. I've heard several of my students talk about how they are too fat, or they won't eat this or that because it will make them fat. It's awful to hear.

The question is: what does it matter if you're in 1st grade, high school or college.
But I have to say that it matters. Wish I don't.
