Good art should always make the viewer uncomfortable or move their emotions. Otherwise your senses are not fully engaged, you would never ask the question "why" or "how". Thus never widening your own thinking. Very nice work.

I like the gender bending aspect of this. Personally, the image doesn't reach deep into my soul and pull out a fountain of emotion, but there's so much that can be read into this I'm sure it has that effect for some. It's a beautifully created image and artists everywhere yearn to have subjects like you who trust the creative flow and just go with it. Bravo!

an iconic image; the contrast of your maleness and those boots with the feminine attire (at least the skirt) - causes discordant brain waves but draws one in

Please don't apologize for the artwork that was created. There's expressionism in the work you did here. You pushed your own envelope, you were brave to do something with which you were uncomfortable, and you pulled it off quite well. If you take a really solid look at the work I've done, I've never put a man in anything other than masculine attire, however, that DOES NOT MEAN that what you've done here doesn't have merit. It has plenty. You're not defiling anything, you're not compromising your integrity, and you're performing as an actor in a play of imagery that no one else could have done. Your look is unique and the artist who utilized your look did so knowing he/she would create a piece of artwork that would stand the test of time and be done brilliantly through your participation.
So though there may be those who wouldn't do what you have done, and may criticize you for doing what they may be either ashamed of or uncomfortable with doing, you have proven to be more courageous, have more integrity, and bigger balls than many other individuals who would rather point and make slight of your endeavors than support you with encouragement.
I was always taught that praise should be given in public, and correction in private. Opinions are like assholes - we all have them, and none of them smell as pretty as we think they do.

Aww, thanks! See, and I realize this! It's why I can agree to do it. As a performer, you have to be prepared to do anything, and I'm as open as they come! I do like the messages that could be taken from this, and the beauty of the shot! So however awkward I was at the time, it pays off! I had to have faith that it would. The people I've worked with for this shot made it very clear that I was going to have my masculine qualities to counter the attire. The told me to grow out my facial hair and everything, so it was all planned out. Of course I had no clue what they had in mind until the moment of truth. But yes, I am incredibly proud of this shoot, and I am happy I can push the boundaries! Thank you so much for your words!
