I may be a guy, but so far Brionne is my favorite starter evolution, and if I get Pokémon Moon I'm gonna definitely get Popplio!

at first I was gonna choose Litten, but yeah, Popplio's so cute that I'm choosing Popplio, and i better get a female one as well! yes, Popplio as a girl makes MUCH more since, cause a male, just like Fenekkin, does not!

yeah, I guess, actually, get a whatever kind of Pokemon you do not want and trade it for a female Popplio. I am gonna choose Litten, so gonna get rid of one of my useless Pokemon.

Don't you sorta need to keep all your pokemon, even the useless ones, because you need to "catch them all"? And on top of that, I don't think anyone is gonna want to trade a pokemon for one that is "useless". It's kinda like trading your functioning toaster for a broken one.

eh, I have a few I never use, and if you already have that particular Pokemon, it count for the Pokedex, so yeah. although people tend to be picky for such so IDK.

Yeah. I hear ya. There's typically only so many reasons why you would catch more than one type of pokemon.
1. You're searching for the pokemon with the ability you find the best.
2. You're searching for the pokemon with the nature you fine the best.
3. Possibly breeding purposes.
4. It's one of those pokemons with multiple evolutions somewhere in it's evolution line like poliwag or oddish.
5. One of those pokemons with multiple forms and the pokedex DEMANDS you catch ALL of it's forms like Unown or vivillon.
6. Other reasons I can't think of.
