Yeah, people requested her a few times. Perhaps it's because I revealed so little about her yet.
Also, I think it's a good thing to show people more about Azibo and Nerhil herself.
But nice I hope I wil not disappoint you.

Hello! I'm from ProjectComment !
This character looks so beautiful! I love the color scheme and her design. She looks so majestic! ^^ I also love the semi-realistic style, it looks pretty good!
Drawing a face from this angle is pretty difficult, but I think you did very well on the nose and on the lips and the overall shape of the face.
The only thing you could improve is the eyes, for some reason they look slightly off. When flipping your image, I noticed that the eyes don't match up with how her head is tilted. I don't know how to explain this, but looking at her eyes only it seems like she's holding her head straight, but the face seems like she's tilting her head downwards slightly. I think this is the reason why it looks a bit off. If you fix the way the eyes are positioned in her face according to the rest of her face, it will look more harmonious.
Apart from this I think you did great on the details of her eyes! I really like her eyeshadow, it looks really good next to her crimson eyes ^^
Her kimono looks really good and I like how you added some patterns to parts of the kimono and the background. This makes it a lot more interesting to look at!
I think you could also add some more texture to your artwork, for example by using some textured brushes for the skin or the gold.
I think the shading in this piece is already pretty good, it seems like you know the basics of shading, but you could add some more lighting and highlights to add some more depth.
Especially reflective materials such as her gold accessories have a lot of highlights, that really make them pop. I think this tutorial is pretty helpful on how to render gold and use some textured brushes to not only add some depth, but also some structure and a bit of a painterly look:
Your piece already looks pretty good and I'm sure that if you keep practicing and maybe try to add some textured brushes, your art will become even prettier!

Hello, thanks a lot for your long and thoughtful feedback.
Also thanks a lot for taking your time for this.
I know the eyes are a slightly bid off. And I am considering to fix this soon because I want to see what I have wrong.
I do see the mistake by my own to ^^' So it's never wrong to look back and see how to solve this issue.
Maybe I made the mistake by not flipping the image in the first place. At a certain point if you draw your brains seem to correct those small mistakes on their own.
And yet...I forgot with this one that this is an important thing to take some distance from a drawing during a process. So I think that I get what you want to tell me about the
position of the face/eyes that they don't match.
Thanks for mentioning this.
As for the texture critique. I only can give you right. Lately, people seem to critique this point in my art a lot.
So I started some texture studies according to this kind of critique. I indeed think I could push my artwork more by mastering better textures and that this misses right now in all my artworks.
I must be honest that I never did a texture study before. Always be focusing on colours/shading/anatomy/composition and keep forgetting that this is also an important thing for my work.
Also thanks for the tutorial. I will give it a look c:
So thanks again this was very useful c:

Hello c:
First of all, I want to thank you for this amazing long constructive feedback!
I am always happy to learn what I could do better.
First of all thanks for mentioning what you like so much about this one. I am glad her design works out so well for you.
As on the feedback. I only can agree with you. Every time I watch to this picture I do see my own horrible mistake with the eyes. I can't see exactly what I did wrong but I guess it's indeed the fact that both eyes
don't match at all. But I will be fair, I think drawing eyes in this position of the head is very hard ^^' Maybe I should try to correct it once with this drawing. Or just try it again for the sake of practice.
About the hard lines. Yes, it's kinda a style decision. I do work with hard lines combined with soft shading and make some hard shading more prominent to create some kind of painted vibe.
Yet, I do agree that it might work better for her to work with more soft shading inside her face and that I might overdo it with the hard lines for this painting. And it might look more natural for her if I made the shading softer.
And about ear, I will be honest I don't like drawing ears. But it's not an excuse to just not paint it at all or just leave it as it is. So I will do some studies to the ears to c:
Honestly, you didn't sound off. It was just a fair and well written constructive comment c:

I´m very happy my critique was kinda useful. :3
I just can relate to ears! I hate drawing them and there are not much I´m really lucky with I drew and it was pain to do the studies. x´)
So no reason to blame you!
Glad not to sounded off. I seldome write critiques and their make me nervous since I want to encourage people and not bring down or anything. ;v;
I´m sure you´ll make some great improvements. Your artworks already look super amazing though! *-*

It sure was c: It's hard to get good critiques from people because most of the people are afraid of giving it these days.
And well ears are from hell xD honestly I rather draw hands than ears xD Though doing studies is a good idea to do once.
I guess it's the same as drawing hands. If you get the hang on this. It should be not that hard.
And not at all, it was very useful for me c: But I can relate to the nervous part. Because some people can react very strange if you do give them critiques.
But you do encourage me with telling me where to improve c: I am always looking for ways to grow in my work. And drawing faces is deff what could have some more attention from me.
But thanks <3 I hope I will stay improving. And honestly, I was impressed by your work as well. It looks lovely <3

Aww Im super relieved and happy it was useful! Haha yes ears but also hands are from hell! 😂 In general I got the feeling that people write and comment less or keep it simple like 'nice work' which is nice ofc but doesnt help to find out what they enjoyed and what not. Tho I need to comment more aswell. 😅 Thank you so much for such flattering compliment! It really means a lot to me!!😭❤❤❤

I totally agree! It happens I´ve received comments like "the hand looks off" or "the colors are not natural" just like phrases thrown in my face without any more informations.
And never replying when asking them what they mean. Or simply being agressive cause they didn´t like the fandom itself. That´s so off!
It´s hard to find out who likes to receive detailed feedback and who not. That´s why it´s more safe to check out the critique requested buttons or look at ProjectComment.
Some artists already have big doubts or other people telling them all the time what they do wrong that they might lose to believe in themselves and their skills.
So I prefer giving them positive feedback only to encourage. Anyways I wish to have more time to leave longer feedback than only short comments. TuT
Everyone is working so hard and deserves to know that they are appreciated. ^_^
Thank you so much for liking my feedback. I try to describe things how I wanted to receive them on my works.
I often don´t know what or how to fix some parts of my works and it also happens I didn´t even see things unless someone else mentioned them.
Even when my husband is sounding a bit rude sometimes with his critique, he is the main reason why I was able to improve my awful noses. x)

Those comments are quite annoying yes. But they usual ain't lesser true. Yet I can understand your frustration to well.
Because they don't explain what looks off and such. They don't help you most of the time. Only telling you something you probably did see by your own to.
Honestly, I think its less to give just written critiques without over paintings what I actually try to tell people.
By overpainting a picture I actually can show the other artist what I trying to say and how I would solve such a cause.
For example, I would see something is off in a picture (like this picture with the eyes) I rather like to see an overpainting so I can see how to solve the issue. Because
I already saw it was off after all. Usual I can see what is off in my pictures but just don't have the skills to solve the problem because I just don't know how to solve it.
What is wrong? The facial structure. Maybe the eyes look off because the rest looks off too but isn't just showing off as the eyes. I am sure the reason why her eyes look off
is that her skull structure is done wrong in a way. I learned in the past that an overpainting helps me way better to get a view of what is happening and what I am doing wrong.
Yet, write it down a bit more detailed does work a lot too. because I understand not everyone has the time to create an actually overpainting. But yes just saying something is off
doesn't help then only state the problem in an artwork. And yes, asking critique via Project comment works damn well. I must say that I learned a lot now from what other artist saw in my work.
I think feedback/critique should include what you are doing right and what you could improve. Because of this motivates. It states where you are as an artist and it states where you still might improve on.
Because a drawing isn't just about what is wrong. Or what someone sees what is wrong. After all, it took me years to get me on this level so hearing what I am capable of is sure something I need
when reading a critique.
Everyone deserves to hear what they might improve and what is appealing to their artwork. After all most of the artist works hard to gain the level they are in. Doesn't matter how far they are.
I know my art isn't bad but I know it still needs a lot of improvement to gain the level I wish to get. And I guess this never will quit. I am on a level I never could wish for years ago...THough now I see other artist and only want to become better and better like them.
Haha I just need to pull those comments out of my husband. He doesn't draw at all so he has a hard time to tell me what I could improve. Yet if he sees something wrong xD I Know it's wrong.
I ain't sure if you might be interested in this. But I am looking for an artist for a while who wants to work on his skills in private. I learned, working together with other artist and levelling each other up is def something what helps with improving a skill. But if you look for someone to give each other critique (like on discord or something) I am all in for this.
If not, I sure want to help you here and there with some critique, even over paintings if you wish to. But I always love to hear your critique to c: After all, I only will learn from it ^^
Only thing I need to know then is. What artists do you admire so much that you have them as an example? So I can learn what kind of style and art level you like to reach. Because we both have a bid differend way on how we approach our art/rendering. What isn't wrong of course. I just admire it how you are developing your own style c: But maybe we can learn from each other like this.

That´s so well said! Overpainting is a really amazing thing to help each other.
Some professional artists offer such service on Patreon. Though we are not their level yet, I think we are still able to help each other from the things we´ve learned over years.
I only overpainted a drawing of a friend once, since I fear to ask people if they want it. It may sound rude/arrogant to them. x)
One artist wrote me a detailed critique and sent me an overpainted version and it really helped me to understand things I couldn´t see by my own.
Tho she didn´t ask me before I was damn happy about it. But I think one must be careful, since some may feel attacked or don´t want to hear what to improve.
I have lots of different artists I admire. But I have no style I wat to focus on. Yet I´m still on my way finding myself in art and try out different stuff. ^^
But I´m always open for feedback! A friend of mine and me invented an Art Study group on Discord with some friends. We give each other feedback and share art.
Today our first study prompt has started (everyone has 2 weeks until the next study). So if you´re interested, I can send you the link via PM!

It is, it just shows you in visuals what is the wrong ^^ And I think it's easier to understand how to solve your issue's in an artwork.
Meh, I don't think I will ever make my critique a paid service. For one reason. First of all yes, my art isn't good enough for that yet.
And if it where...I would be on such a level because I got this kind of critique for free. Never paid for it unless you count my game art course/ life painting course.
Yet, I still can contact those teachers and fellow old students to ask for critique for free. So why would I not give someone a gift like this by my own if I
gain it always like this too? Not everyone has the money to pay for feedback or an art course. And honestly, I am just happy with all the free tutorials and such I can get.
Only thing I did pay for in the past was an insight to the PSD files from another artist. So I could learn how they actually did build up their work.
Nothing wrong with that tbh. I do have plenty of artists I do admire. and do not have a 100% focus on an art style. Yet I know I love to work with lineless work and my focus is shifting to this. Same as painting backgrounds and environments.
Especially the last one is something I try to master recently. Because I actually do enjoy painting those more than a character ^^ It's just they take in way more time so that's why I haven't a lot online from it yet.
xD though offline I have plenty of tryouts and such.
And ooh I love to be in an art study group. I ain't sure if I have the time yet to work on weekly tasks yet though. Duo my 40-hour job and the fact I still owe people some art I still want to draw this first.
Though I always take some time to do some studies I never show people in my free time. So I probably can fit it somewhere in my schedule. Depends on a bid on how heavy these prompts will be.
But if you guys don't mind I am all in. May I ask what your first study prompt will be? Also, I love to see art examples from your friends inside this group, more out of curiosity c: But I guess I will see that if I will join in ^^
Thanks a lot for the invitation ^^

I´m really sorry for the late reply. I was quite busy. ;v;
That´s true! Same here. Tutorials are so useful and everyone deserves to learn.
No worries, everyone in the group is very busy and everything is very chill. ^-^
Our first study prompt is hands. The prompt is up until next Monday. It´s our first prompt and each prompt runs for 2 weeks.
Noone is forced to do them all or in time ofc. We also have a channel to ask for critique if it´s wished.
I will send you a DM with the link. And ofc, I´m sure we can help each other to improve. X3

And tutorials are damn useful ^^ If it wasn't for those I would not have learned so much as today.
That's awesome, I know working with deadlines can give a lot of motivation. Though it also does burn you out quickly.
Hands is a pretty useful Prompt. Because hands are damn difficult to draw ^^'
I got your link thanks a lot!! I will see if I join it tomorrow. When I have some time to actually respond. atm, I am just home from my working shift and it's pretty late already.
^^ I am sure we can help each other out. Can't wait to meet everyone c: Thanks for this opportunity.

But I think the eyes don't really work with it.

The attention to details here on her clothes and her hair are stunning! I also love the colour palette here! I love Azibo's design! This portrait totally looks like a royal portrait you'd see hanging in a palace!
You did such a wonderful job on this beautiful piece! I also thoroughly enjoyed reading more about your world and Queen Azibo! Beautiful work!
