Oooh I love everything about this painting - especially the fact that I didn't notice the extra eyes until I clicked onto this page and saw it closer. The gradient background and tree silhouettes are beautiful, and her face is exquisitely painted
As a side note, the added mini-story you wrote about "the people who lived on the other side of the river" really brings this picture onto another level. While it's a fascinating and beautiful painting on its own, that one extra sentence makes me want to read a book about this character
