here is a flat color WIP of my character as a Rise Of The Guardians spirit

Character's Name: Emerelda Rosenvine (Emerald for short)

Race: Fairy like spirit of nature

Profession: Nymph of Spring

Abilities: Emerald has a long pair of delicate, almost see-through wings that she uses to fly about as she helps trees to grow and vines to climb. Like all spring nymphs she has the power to control plants and can bend them to her will with a wave of her hand or by touching the plant in questions. She also has vines that grow out of the top of her feet and hands and wrap around her arms and legs, much like arm warmers and socks. Emerald can uses these vines and form weapons such as a vine bases bow and thorn based arrow or as whips and if she tries hard enough, thorn like blades however this weapon takes a great deal of power to create and tends to drain her.

History: Although she is over 450 years old, Emerald still holds the young appearance from before she was chosen, of a girl between 17-20. A child born to one of the first colonial settlers in the America's, Emerald grew up surrounded by the vast and overwhelming woodlands of the East Coast and fell in love with their strength and unbelievable beauty. Most of her time was spent outdoors, gathering food and fire wood from the forest and learning to live off of the new land her family had settled. However like many of the first Europeans to the New World she fell victim to its wonder by becoming sick with a bacterial infection from a cut on her leg she obtained while blackberry picking. Sadly such a little cut turning into a raging infection and with no modern medicine she quickly passed away.
The Man in the Moon had seen the young girls love and respect for the new land, when most others went about using and destroying it, and brought her back as a shy yet stubborn Nymph of Spring.
