....and Infinite SadnessThese are two original Characters that i've considered entering their story in the Tokyo pop contest....i will possibly get too lazy to do so.
I havent come up with colour schemes for the characters yet. I can tell you these two are pale and have blue/grey/dark hair and dark eyes
This is one of the 'hero' type charries and eh heh the bad guy XDXD guess which is which.
The two characters are brothers.
Again sorry for the lazy-ass digital colorness.
Heehee hopw some people noticed the title is a Smashin Pumpkins album title which roooocks so much XD
Tomorrow i will be putting up the second part to this pic, the other leading characters.

The one half asleep is teh hero and the one awake is teh bad guy, cause the one asleep is too sleepy to be bad XD ANd the one awake looks grouchy

The sleepy one is the bad guy but he's also being manipulated because he wouldn't have enough power to do what it takes to get what he wants. And what he wants isn't technically a bad thing...he just wants his brothers undivided attention.
Poor kid ends up being used horribly.
Yeah the sleepy kid looks innocent which is what i was using to confuse people.

the uh.. lack of color really suits the blank/sad/neutral feel emanating from this picture. (the color scheme you said you'd use sounds perfect.)
i like the comfortable postitions you drew them in. not to mention how difficult it is to draw something so realisitic in a comical fashion. (ok comical as in comics, not 'funny'). the design of their simple clothes is nice, it's hard to get the right feel of a character accross when simplicity can limit what you draw.
i have to say i'm interested in them. okay guess time! i think the slouching -supposedly younger- one is the evil one. the one hugging his knees looks like a herotype. i think it's his eyes, but also... my focus was drawn to him, he isn't hiding or looming like the other brother.

When i'm in college, 5 hours of every week is given over to lifedrawing, so i should hope after 3 yrs of this i have a convincing grasp on the human body XDXD
I know what you mean...but as i've learned the hard way...TT^TT if you're doing a character who will be drawn again and again, you tend to make their outfits simple enough...*glares at Artemis(overkill of detail)
Ah! You got it right. The little one is evil, but is also being manipulated while thinking he's still in control. Basically his brother has his eyes on someone and he wants his brother to only pay attention to him.
He's a bit spoilt and is going about it the wrong way.

looks cool indeed, the graininess of the paper.. was it an effect you managed or was it the paper? cause i really like how it all works out together, the relaxed grayscale characters alongside the frame and grain ^_^ Something tells me this has such a story to tell, but i just cant make it out from this . . . well done ^^

*ahem*....it was Eni's scanner....*ahem*....The scanner was dirty so it made the paper look grainy...i had to clean the pic up with the clone stamp first XDXD took a while.
And then for the second pic, which isn't up yet, i had to carry the grainy-ness from this pic to it so it would match XDXD because the scan was cleaner that round!!

The sleeping younger one is the bad guy... And the evil looking big brother is the good guy.. Cause the younger brother has a butchers knife in his lap.. and the evil looking big brother is trying to hide his joy cause the a girl is watching him... the girl he loves
