such a beautiful picture o.o i'm lovin the persepctive, not often that i see the birdseye view.
what you could do if yur afraid of coloring the line art is scan it in once you finish inkin ur whatever then print it out. then you don't have to worry bout messing up your picture at all. and...by the way this looks...i don't think you'd be too bad with colors o.o you'd be great. and, y'know, practice makes perfect ^^ practice at it and you'll be wonderful.

love that angle..
i was pretty confident with using color pencils.. but i think i lost my touch.. i was always horride with markers.. i always seemed to funk it up some how.. hehehe..
~cari has some good advice about using crayolas then going to prizmas.. i should try that.. i just hope my prizmas are still good.. oh well
but ya very nice picture imma fav it!!
oh and a tip from me photocopies work like a charm good practice to get the colors you want on it before you mess up the original... i always used to just trace over my orig and then colored it for a final... so i would have a pencil one a pen one and a colored one when i was done.. oh and a stack of messed up photocopy ones..
also a little trick is to use a light blue color pencil(non-photo blue) use that to draw with and ink over it nicely and when you photocopy the blue wont show.. only the inked parts.. i did it by accident bored in class but it actually worked out pretty good..

ya they come out in a scan.. so that doesn't work out too good..
if you have a fax machine it might work on that.. not sure though i never tried it on a fax...
i just bought a new 12 pack of pencils.. hehehe still unsharpened..
i have a larger set but i try not to use those soo much.. i go through my pencils too fast sometimes hehe

Yay for evasion of the chainsaw! Because perspective has one uh huh uh huh. IT hasn't shredded off my apendages yet, but one day...
Beautiful job! I love your character so much.
I also have the same problem, being out of practice with real media.
