Before I had family up and it got crazy I talked to Kyralena about doing a collab and we both like ShikaKiba (obviously I do since they're one of my two favorite pairings after all) so we thought we do something with them, She drew it and then I had family come up so I only just now got to color it.Related content

I don't personally do pairings like NaruKiba because they are like/like personality types and I like opposites but I think they make awesome friends. And like I said, glad you liked it.

Personally I like Naruto best with Gaara and then with Hinata and with how much she likes him I think I'd want to punch Kiba if he hit on Naruto.

Never really seen much of that pairing but it does make sense when ya think about it ^^ yeah I do like NaruHina too(and I HATE KibaHina >.<) and yeah I guess that would seem kinda odd if Kiba was flirting with Naruto while Hinata was just watching and being to shy to compete with him...

There isn't a lot of it but I think of everyone he deserves Naruto the most, he gets him like nobody else. Hina's next on the list but only next. I like pairings that 'make sense'.
And yeah see my Kiba-muse is such a loyal mutt that even if he kind of liked Naruto he wouldn't because of Hinata.
I like Kiba with Shika(most), Shino, Hinata(sorta but she likes Naruto and she deserves to be with Naruto and so yeah...), and there are a COUPLE of really cute KibaSakura fics that I like though it's not a pairing I usually go for. The Kiba pairing I HATE is KibaSasu because Sasuke is a disloyal ass.

I can totally get the "because an RP has made me not like x pairing" atm an RP has made me just about hate Rin and namely KakaRin. I RP Iruka and the Kakashi and I deliberately set things up so we could do KakaIru and she came along and we're like cool and neither of us even care that she has a crush on Rin. I mean it's canon and we were expecting it. What bugs us is that she's such a weak pathetic Rin who just like has a total mental meltdown and faints when she sees Kakashi, insisting he's a ghost and what not and she like makes herself into this victim and it makes Kakashi completely uncomfortable and then she's constantly like grabbing ahold of him and crap and which makes Iruka not like her (she knows their dating) and Iruka's like overly polite to her... but up until I thought KakaRin was kind of cute as a before she died kind of thing or whatever. Now I see it and I just feel irritated.
Personally the closest I come to OCxCanon even in RP is picking a REALLY OMFG minor character (Iwashi) and RPing him with Ibiki but that's just a personal avoidance of OCs. I hate hate hate OCxCanon because every single time I've seen it they've been a self insert or marysue/garystu. BUT I do totally also get the somebody jumping into an RP and trying to steal your character's love interest. I had that happen when ~XHidaka and I were RPing ShikaKiba (me as Kiba) and we had this new person join the group and she played chouji, Sasuke, and a second Iruka (who I was also playing) and she knew before hand because I told her like ten times that Shika and Kiba were going to be together but she still tried to through Chouji at him and she tried the same thing with her 'clone' Iruka and the Kakashi which completely fucked up the stuff with Kakashi because she SUCKED at Iruka and the Kakashi player hated her and stopped playing. So I know how irritating it can be to have somebody pushing their way in like that. She also wanted Sasuke and Kiba to kiss and I'm like "You even try it and Kiba will attack him and so will Akamaru" cuz he hated Sasuke. The worst part is that I then recently met her in person and she's just as annoying in person.

what do you mean by self insert or marysue/garystu? and wow it seems you've had some really aggravating RP situations, thats just so annoying when everything is going just fine and someone comes in and like screws it all up, it just pisses me off >.< and haha yay for hating Sasuke!!

The upside to the Sasuke thing was man my Kiba had some good insults for him and that part was fun. It was the same when Ino was around and he and Ino got into fights. Although I don't hate Ino as a character, that was planned hatred.

oh my god, that Mary-sue thing was horrible, I literally head-desked when I saw how stupid it is, I would seriously have to punch myself if I made an OC like that, I mean sure my OC has a crush but she's not stupidly insane about it, and she's not all pretty/perfect either, thats just stupid, a character can't just be like that, it goes against my nature

Mary-sues are really really REALLY common. There are even some really great writers who write mary-sues... which is saaaad!

You could read a few mary-sue fics and then you'd know what to look out for. They are generally rather painful though.

The other way to help avoid it is to check out 's tutorials namely THIS ONE and THIS ONE And then depending on if your character is male you should look at THIS ONE and if they're female you should look at THIS ONE (this one I helped with)

Yukiko is only a little like you. She isn't really very cool: she blends into crowds, she hangs out on the fringes at parties, and wearing shades after dark makes her run into things. She may have sometimes thought that she was special, or destined for greater things, but probably dismissed the idea as a fantasy. She's come in for her share of hurt, but gotten off with minor damage. And she's gotten no slack from you.
In general, you care deeply about Yukiko, but you're smart enough to let her stand on her own, without burdening her with your personal fantasies or propping her up with idealization and over-dramatization. Yukiko is a healthy character with a promising career ahead of her.
