I really think I got across what I needed to in this picture. Snively feels like he's too corrupted for Celeste, but is unwilling to let her go though he knows he probably should. He finds himself fighting for her, to be free of the Source of All (before it's inevitable destruction), to find a place for them in spite of their species difference, his own wrong doings- obviously there's no possible way Snively can leave his way behind and even attempt a normal life after all he's done. What kind of life can he even hope to give anyone who isn't as corrupt and jaded as he is?
I guess in a lot of ways I imagine he'd forget that Celeste actually chooses to stay with him regardless, and is lost in a cycle of trying to figure out a way to be 'worthy of her'. Yes, on the surface he may boast, but under it all he can't forget that his whole life he's been the gum under someones foot.. That kinda sticks with you.

Spot on coloring work as always. Snively looks more broken than usual, in a sympathetic sort of way. Them feathers are a nice touch too.

That actually means a lot. I have put a lot of thought into this and the struggles they have, but there's a lot simmering beneath the surface and I want to try and display it for people to see. Snively is a great character and I dearly want to try and cast him in a different light. Like, yeah, he's evil and horrible and- but he's a precious abused baby who needs love XD
Obviously that's over simplifying things but I digress, for me it's more fun working with characters with complicated and dark pasts.

Can't agree more with that last sentiment. I love pairings where one's a brooder, the other a bright light in contrast, with both sharing some pretty big secrets about themselves, and carrying each other's burdens, and being openly expressive towards each other with all kinds of feels...

You have captured their emotions perfectly here, I love how you have shown Snively's emotions of that he feels he is too corrupted for her, but yet there is a spark in him that Celeste believes that she can bring out of him, if there was one character to make him good and uncorrupted I would say Celelste is the best for the job.
