Description I don't really want to go into story mode on this one, it's for school. I'm going to be carving this into lenolium, and then printing the image several more times. I really wanted to draw feathers and scales, so I thought, oh! Gryphon, but then I don't really have a good time drawing fowl, so I decided to draw a dragon with wings and scales ^^

I like the detail I put into this. I hope my art teacher aproves of this... - - all she ever says when I show her my pictures is, "Ooo...that's nice, did you have fun." Drawing is such a habit for me, that the only time I really actually have "fun" it's from drawing comics and cute little animals.

Oh well, took me only an hour to draw this picture, but it actually took me three days to mentally put it all together.

Very nice design! Love the combination of feather and scale. Awesome pose and perspective from behind too.

It's truly impressive how you've managed to incorporate lots of detail (e.g. feathers near the base of its wings; the head) and suggest depth and lighting with lines only. It already looks amazing on paper, but if you're indeed going to be making a linocut of this, it will look even more impressive, I'm sure.

Art teachers.... heh. My foremost objection is against the teaching of art itself, as you either have artistic merit (e.g. you), or you don't (e.g. I). There is no need to force the unskilled into creating a work at all costs, and no need to breathe down the necks of the skilled to pressure them to draw according to the ideals of some "higher authority", and not fully by their own.

thank you, I love shading with lines ^^

And I love to draw the things I like to draw, I don't like it however, when my art teachers try to make me draw in a way that does not interest me in the slightest, and causes me great difficulty. The classes I enjoy though, because I can doodle in that class, and not be yelled at!
