It's about people knowing where the image comes from. Once it's on the web like that anyone can claim it as theirs...and it happens. Even a small one makes sure that your name is attached with that as it deserves to be.

There is always a watermark in my pics
I see your point and I have dealt with cases like that. The tough part is finding out someone using it as their own. Proving it is mine is easy.
