Kind of reminds me of Akame ga Kill with the Imperial Arms with a touch of Fairy Tail, inspirations?

To be honest, when I was first outlining the story, I didn't notice the similarities. It was my bro who pointed them out to me. But there are some aspects of the story that I hope will help it stand apart.
In Fairy Tail, magic is very common place and comes in countless varieties. With my story, humanity has struggled to retain its knowledge of magic outside of these magic weapons. There are some people who know more than others, but these people are scattered around the world and have their own agendas.
Then with the differences to Akame ga Kill, Night Raid was aiding a rebel movement to overthrow an empire, but in my story these battles will be fought behind closed doors, so to speak, since my protagonists' enemies have essentially infiltrated the main government. So in that sense, it's a bit Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, though with a bit less persecution thrown at the heroes. Not to mention the magic weapons are indestructible to everything except dragon fire, kind of like how the Firees of Mount Doom were the only thing that could destroy the One Ring in Lord of the Rings.
So yeah, the similarities to Fairy Tail and Akame ga Kill are definitely there, but I hope I have shared enough info to show that the story will be going in different directions.

There's nothing wrong having similarities, a lot of stuff I made was inspired from other shows and novels as well. Wish you luck! Btw, when you write how do you usually start the beginning? I always have a hard time whenever I try to write

Since I am typically a fiction writer, I usually take the time to introduce my readers to the world I am creating, as well as where and how the protagonist fits into the story. I also like to write the beginning in a way that will make readers ask questions early on? Who is this person? Where did s/he come from? What caused him/her to end up in the situation s/he is in? How will his/her path connect to the paths of the other characters in the story? These are questions I like to ask myself before I truly get started, so I have painted the clearest picture I can. It's a strategy that has worked for me in the past, and it hasn't let me down so far. I hope this provided some insight to your questions, but if you have, you're welcome to voice them; I'm happy to talk more about these kinds of things.

So your basically playing 20 Questions with your character? That actually helps a lot, thanks! I've always wanted to write and I stuck on whether drawing or writing my story but I'm going to try writing it.
