Voice Actor Chronicles - Episode 05 - Justin Cook
At last, the VAC pic for my all-time favorite English dub voice actor, Justin Cook! His characters on this one include: Yusuke Urameshi (bottom right) and Puu (bottom middle) from Yu Yu Hakusho, Chiba Tsunemi from Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad (bottom left), Hatsuharu Sohma from Fruits Basket (left), Dietrich von Lohengrin from Trinity Blood (middle), and Super Majin Buu (right) and Cell Jr. (top left corner) from Dragonball Z. Justin won me over mostly from his performance as Yusuke from YYH, and later as Super Buu on DBZ. Since then, I end up squeeing like a fanboy over hearing him as ANY other character in a show. I had the honor of meeting him back in the first con I went to, Otakon 2005, after the big voice actor panel was done I got to thank him for all of the hard work he did on YYH. He's not only a voice actor, he's worked as an ADR engineer and director, a line producer, and now acts as FUNimation's Head Producer, which is one of the big reasons the company's kicked so much ass in this day and age, as opposed to the old days when DBZ was their only property and they were regarded as an early 4Kids. Justin's just a great all-around guy, and a hard worker who puts lots of effort into every project he works on, and thankfully I'll finally get to see him in a couple weeks at AnimeExpo, where I'll be giving him a copy of this. I'm also hoping to have him play my lead character in the animated series sometime in the future, but that's another story.
