I made a sketch of this creature last night! Here's some basic info on it:

This is a "soul searcher." It has the power to sense the soul energy of any creature around.
Those who train this ability can "sniff out" and follow a soul's trail.
They can also sense out the intricate details of an individual's soul.

They are typically docile creatures without eyes and so rely fully on their ability to sense the energy of their surroundings. If one is standing still, that's what it's doing. Their legs help them move across terrain quickly; when bored, they occasionally sprint in circles to pass the time. The long fingers on their forearms can extend and wrap around to seize with a terrifying grip.

Once they've grabbed their prey, they absorb the soul energy into the pale mask on their heads.
You can tell when one's recently eaten by the green streaks on their skin.
