Personality: Very straightforward: Sees the world as either being good or bad, no in between. Seems cold and distant at times. Doesn't like when people stare at her face.

Markings/Tatoos: Has a Mark of The Pheonix on left arm. Burn marks on left side of face, arm, and leg.

Clothing: Wears a black one sleaved shirt with white lace trimed ruffles. Is covered by a long V neck cut pink overcoat that has splits on the left, right, and back. Wears off white pants that have pink swirl designs at the legs. also wears black stilleto boots.

Accessories: Ruby pendant chocker, Metal 1/2 faceplate covering left side of face, black glove on left hand, and bandages on her left arm and right leg. Leather belt around waist. Has a pet bird named Ember.

Weapons: Redemption: Her bow and Arrow set. Valiant: Her whip

Abilities: Can call on the healing powers of the pheonix to heal others. When this happens her tatoo starts to glow white. Has the potential to ressurect the dead, but doesn't know how exactly. Can also see the spirits of her father and his comrades who died, but they are only there to remind her of the past and her promise.

History: Chidori is the only daughter of Phineas Stratus, owner of the Stratus Company, a group of hired mercenaries that focuses on monster and demon extermination. When Chidori turned 20 her father invited her to come out on her first excersion with the company. A local village had put out reports of a very strange monster that looked like a huge bird that was lurking on the outskirts of the town. They were afraid that the beast might harm or even eat the villagers. So the Company arrived at the village and set up a stakeout. As the last light of day fled and the sun set the fabled beast arrived...

Without hesitation the Company rushed at it, weapons poised to rid the village of its worries. But Chidori stopped mid run. Something about it didn't feel right. She had grown up hearing tales of fearsome beast causing havoc and destroying lives from her father ever since she could remember. But the way the animal just stood there and took the mortally wounding blows was wrong. It was sad even, because the beast was beautiful to look at. Long multicolored plumes flowed from its tail and it's golden feathers caught and reflected the dying light like a prism. Hurt beyond healing the great bird threw back its head and let out one shrill cry before bursting into flames. Chidori screamed and watched helplessly as her father and his companions were engulphed by the inferno, and then as the flames did to her the same.

"Why did you kill that which has done no wrong?" A strange, melodic voice asked. Chidori sleepely opened her eyes. She felt very heavy and stiff, like she had fallen asleep in the stables during a cold winter night. Her face, arm, and leg burned too. Almost as if they were still on fire. As she lifted her head she was greeted by a very beautiful woman. She had long golden hair and the most vivid blue eyes, almost like looking into fire itself. Chidori then knew what the woman was, one of the fabled pheonixes from legend, the same pheonix her father had helped killed. "To kill a creature of pure goodness is a crime that is not easily undone. I have let you live so that you may redeem yourself and those that helped to end my life. Restore the balance that you have unsettled by ridding the world of evil and I shall give your comrades peace. Until then they shall live as shades: not of this world or the next never to find paradise" stated the Pheonix "swear to me that you will do this task or you will never find peace in this life or the next yourself." Chidori looked at her hands, then promised the Pheonix that she would do as she said and restore the natural balance of things. " You chose well child. But I want you to remember me and what you learned today well. From now on you wil be both blessed and cursed by The Mark of The Pheonix. My symbol shall be engraved on you shoulder as a mark of my favor. You are now blessed with my powers of healing and ressurection. But the burn you recieved from my dying fire shall never heal. You will be forever cursed with a face disfigured by scars. Let them be a reminder of what you did for all time. " With that a blinding white light engulfed Chidori and she awoke in the field next to the bodies of her dead comrades and the ashes of the pheonix. As she struggled to her feet a strange bird flew out of the trees and unto her shoulders. For some reason it reminded her of the pheonix so she named her Ember. From that day on Chidori has saught out the evils of the world in an attempt to break the curse and give her friends peace at last.
