I'm going to do a small tutorial from a to z but what really helped me to do big pieces is that i found a print shop where you can print in laser on A0 papers (1189x841 cm) for 5 euros each so you don't have to stick all the papers togheter. beside i prepare panels with 4 a2 thick paper each. then i use spray glue to fix them together. It ensures that all the layers are the exact same size and it way faster than puting a4 sheets togheter. for 5 layers, i pay about 32.50 euros for prints and panels

SERIOUSLY, KINGSTOM, YOU'RE MAKING US ALL LOOK BAD.
from a PURELY TECHNICAL STANDPOINT, putting the subject matter (which is great) COMPLETELY ASIDE:
1. there's just no freaking way i could finish that in a week
2. i'd never be able to cut the labels and ticks on the gauges (i wouldn't even try; i'm old, and also a stoner, and seriously, there's just no way i could do it, even with a *MAGIC* XACTO +5.
3. you picked great colors for this, it looks like you've got a lot MORE than there really are
if you're not selling stuff, you're probably not charging enough. DOUBLE YOUR PRICES. if they don't sell after that, DOUBLE THEM AGAIN. also people who spend tons of money on art want LARGE PIECES, aim for a size that would look good over a couch. i've found that anything i make with DRIPS on it sells (i have no explanation for that.)
if i have something i really want to make but need money for materials, i make a "limited edition of 5" 8x10 version and sell that for < $100. i just scale down the same image, and maybe simplify it a little bit. this gives you a chance to try out colors and whatever before committing the resources and time necessary for a decent sized one, and i like 8x10s anyway, so it's neat to have a little one *. i usually only need to sell one small version to buy the stuff for the large one; then i (hopefully) sell (more than one of) those for (a hell of a lot) more than $100. but even if i don't, i break even.
i get a lot of materials at thrift stores and from the "free" listings on craigslist (i'm sure there's some local equivalent.) i also pull things out of dumpsters and get TONS of usable cardboard out of the recycling bins in my neighborhood on trashday.
* i've been spraying all of the small versions on to pages in a book, which will look really cool if i ever manage to do like 200 of them, which i never will.

it's mostly the "right out of the gate" factor for me. especially when i saw the video and the completely alien process

Everything you do is Gold! I'll call you KINGstom MIDAS! HaHa! Furthermore, I'm impressed at how fast you put these out. Like you have nothing else to do in the world besides make beautiful pieces of art. I envy you sir!

Yeah Man, I'm in the same boat. I don't know how it is over in the UK, but over here there are not along of people stenciling, especially in my area. I'm going to start up my own little business and hit up some art festivals, farmers markets, street markets, and my city has something called arts walk. So in the spring and in the fall they basically make the streets into a giant local artist gallery for a weekend, and they close down streets, and have tents, and food and displays, and crafts, and all that shtuff. Are you in galleries and stuff?

not yet but i'm starting computer graphics studies in 3 weeks so i'm gonna have to slow down a bit. i did a small exhibit about 6 months ago on the university campus where i sold 3 paintings (unfortunatly students usually don't have a lot of money) but it xas only my first pieces and i think i'll do another one soon. and by the way i'm in belgium, i know some graffiti artists but no stencil artists either...
good luck for the future
