Description It has be come a tradition for me to do a Bokrug onece in a year. xD This one got two short legs (like a Spinosaurus) instead of usual fins. The tail has spots of powerful bioluminescence which could illuminate entire lake. Spines in its fin are adorned with multiple Sarnathian skulls.

"However this may be, it is certain that they worshipped a sea-green stone idol chiselled in the likeness of Bokrug, the great water-lizard; before which they danced horribly when the moon was gibbous."

H.P. Lovecraft, The Doom That Came To Sarnath

Godzilla could take lessons from Bokrug in the fine art of city-flattening!

Nice work, the skull on the fins are cool idea, also I like how that gives a sense of how large the beast isΒ  Β
Also I wanted to ask: how large are these drawing usually? A3, A4?

KingsOfEvilArt In reply to TheIvoryFalcon [2016-12-13 17:41:10 +0000 UTC]

Thanks. the skulls on fins are a must for my Bokrug. And no, I haven't done anything bigger than A5 for years. In fact I've been doing some of them even smaller recently but A5 is the usual size.

Thats surprising I would had expected these to be A4 or something, alltough I too prefer smaller sizes. I'ts impressive how much detail you can put to these at such a small size.Β

The description provides the source and it'sΒ The Doom That Came To Sarnath. I don't know in what book is this printed at your place though. Usually with other stories of the Dreamland Cycle.

Well the oldest things I've read are big brother , lovecraft and some Greek books

What I meant is that I prefer a physical book over electronic one. In fact I very rarely read ebooks. Only when I am completely incapable of getting the real thing.

KwnstandupesGallery In reply to KingsOfEvilArt [2016-12-13 15:29:05 +0000 UTC]

Oh I can get behind that , the only reason I bought the ebook is because the price for the book was exorbitant

I recommend looking for some second hand book stores, there you can get stuff really cheap

KwnstandupesGallery In reply to KingsOfEvilArt [2016-12-13 15:51:10 +0000 UTC]

Thing is the aforementioned book had almost all lovecraft stories so I don't think I'd find the physical book at a low price

Your previous Bokrug had a very primordial devastating kaiju quality, but this oneΒ has an otherworldly divine dragon quality. I like both of them!

I can imagine a feeling of overwhelming awe to see the lake illuminated by that massive tail as he rises above the surface.

I LOVE that little detail of the visible eye holes in the skull surrounded by light.

Thank you. I am much more satisfied now. I guess I need to make things thinner and more serpentine to like them. XD
