Based off how in the pokemon anime, Ash's fletchling evolved into fletchinder by being engulfed in a fire blast.so apparently you evolve fire birds by burning them alive? XD anime logic.
seems this fletchling thought it could do the same, and got itself on fire. too bad it didn't work because a/ its brain was stupid and b/ not high enough level.
and his friend here is thinking, you know that friend who's so stupid he thinks animated logic makes sense, yea i got that friend. he's on fire right now.

You know, something came to my mind. Fletchling is a Normal/Flying type, meaning it can be burned. I wonder what happens when you burn Fletchling and then evolve it while still having its burn status
