Yesterday i hada run for my money when i ended up facing off against the 6 phase final boss that is masked dedede and queen sectonia! yes counting dedede there are about 6 phases to the fight.
Now after beating masked dedede, i figured that now i'd have to fight taranza soul. not exactly
Taranza calls upon his queen to help him, and this insect queen instead blasts him away and takes up to arms against kirby, which first time i faced her i had a sliver of health and was killed the moment she started slashing with her rapiers. i nearly ragequitted when i figured that now i had to start over, luckily that's not the case though since the game lets you start at either sectonia or masked dedede, which im happy for, but it woulda been much harder if you had to battle dedede first each time.

Now as for Sectonia, she is a very unexpected, and pretty challenging, boss. This wasp like bee fights using both twin magic scepters and twin rapiers, with her final form being a giant flower with cyclopsy flower projectiles.
her personality is pretty much shown very well even though she just appears at the finale, you can tell she is a vain, corrupt, persistant, and control obsesssed being. and she is powerful, not magolor powerful but she is probly the second hardest boss i have faced to date in the kirby series. and even worse i hear that in dededetour she is even stronger, and stronger yet in the true arena..... she is going to be a strong challenge for me......

So after beating Sectonia i felt like i wanted to draw a humanized version of her because well in the kirby universe perspective, she was good looking in design, but i felt i needed a gijinka that shown her elegance and power. now although she has 2 of each weapon, and about a ton of cyclops flowers and bug minions, i only made one of her scepters and one rapier for this one. mostly cause i felt like having both but she only has 2 hands, not multiple like taranza does.

So in case people were still unsure who she is, being that she's from triple deluxe the most recent kirby game, i added a defeated kirby (cause really sectonia does not know when to quit, every time i thought it was over she attacks again, kirby's probably saying "why can't you just stay defeated dangit") A jawdropped dedede (not because he's attracted to her mind you, but mostly because well that she tried to take over dreamland and control him) and taranza is just there in confusion (cause he isn't sure which version of sectonia is more beautiful)

so designwise i looked at the various takes other people have used, and made my own, i took some inspiration from princess zelda's crown in twilight princess, as well as some of her demeanor and such (cause zelda is both elegant and dangerous at the same time), and a hint from the queen of hearts as well, since really there are a lot of hearts on sectonia and i think her design may have been played onto by that as well. no legs showing cause technically sectonia shouldn't even have arms, but they are under that dress. the wing design was the hardest, a lot of sectonia's fanart her wings are like snowflakes, no two are alike.
