So random question, and this is gonna make me sound like an idiot, what's a skrull?

Skrulls are shapeshifitng aliens from the Marvel Comics universe. They're green and have large, ridged chins. Recently, there was an even called "Secret Invasion" in which the Skrulls had replaced a large number of the marvel superheroes in order to take over the world without anybody noticing. Overall, the event fell flat, but some of the tie-in titles were exceptionally good and it set up some great stuff for the current Iron Man series Matt Fraction is working on.

(If you want to get into the comics, I highly recommend you torrent the complete "Civil War" storyline. You can probably find the whole thing in one pack. It takes Epic to a whole new level. Frankly, it's what got me into comics in the first place.)

The first superhero comic I read (this totally excludes Archie) would probably be superman. I was actually doing an English assignment on him, and I found a website where I could read the comics online. It was really cool! I read almost everything online, unless a friend has it.

Hmm, Superman is a DC Comics character, and I don't know too much about them. Though I can definitely recommend Neil Gaiman's "Sandman" series. It's made of Godly win.
