A Female Plioplatecarpus ortliebi lies on her side so that these two pterosaurs can deal with her irritating peeling skin. They're lucky that she dosn't make a meal out of them.

Great palaeoart! Real animals aren't bloodthirsty monsters. They often rest, do nothing and let pass potential prey, if it's too hard to hunt.

You showed here a natural behaviour!

I love this artwork!

This is great speculation, and a really nice drawing too. But perhaps instead of pterosaurs, who might have preferred more caloric foods in order to minimize weight and maximize energy for flight, mosasaurs had symbiotic fish that ate shed skin as well as skin parasites.

Thank you my friend! I honestly only put the pterosaurs in by request, so normally I would agree about the fish symbiosis.

Very cool! This might be one of the first shedding Mosasaurs ever drawn too! I've only seen one other one ever.
