"I think we are officially lost." Kim moaned. All around them, their surroundings looked completely the same. What hope would they have of finding their way to the castle? Much less Yugi and the rest of their friends!
Ryou said nothing, but a moment later, Kim caught a glimpse of something flashing, and turned around to see her friend holding his millennium ring in his hands. Her skin crawled at the sight of it, but Ryou didn't look concerned. if anything, he looked almost pleased with it.
"Ryou?" Kim ventured to say
"The ring is tugging me this way." he said beginning to walk away. After a moment of hesitation, Kim followed her friend, wondering why he would trust the pendant? as she followed him, she thought she saw a glimpse of a malevolent smirk on his face, and her heart froze at the familiar feeling.
"Ryou. Can we really trust it? The ring?" Kim asked worriedly "what if it's a-"
"Yugi and I speculate that my ring is drawn to other millennium items. I think it's trying to find Yugi." Ryou said confidently. It was his easy demeanor that relaxed her a little bit. "If anything, it'll take us to Pegasus, since he has his millennium eye, and I'm sure that's where we'll meet Yugi."
"I suppose you have a point." Kim agreed. Besides, what choice did they have at this time? It was better than wandering around in the dark.
