In the end, this art itself doesn't look gay to me...In fact, it's funny cause at first I didn't even knew that the man was an "Elf", I noticed that by reading the comments and looking at his pointy ear later, and then I realized that it was something inspired by LOTR. But to me, if it wasn't for the ear, it could be any common human, like a knight, warrior, a king or something like that...Anyways, this image is cool, whether he's an elf or not.

I mean, elves are obviusly not real...But what movie scene makes you think that ALL elves are "gay"?
Well, the only thing that could make anyone truly suspicious is the fact that in the LOTR movies I don't remember seeing elves with any woman and they're all males living together in a community (similar to what people used to think about Wonder Woman in the past).
But I wouldn't be totally generalistic about the idea of "If he's an Elf = He's Gay".

I love that this picture absolutely embodies Finwe's will and strength of character, and "tougher" looking than the typical more delicate elves, in keeping with his history and characterization. Perfect!

Okay, maybe it is not exactly thoughtful-eyed and white browed, but this is a very beautiful picture of Finwe. Maybe a bit more eager than I expected him to be. Well, maybe he became so later when he was older. Or well, younger and still on the journey with his people/tribe to Aman.
On another thought, one of my associations was Winnetou. Maybe this is not a name to most people, but here in Germany the books and movies with this native born character are quite popular. You might look up the terms Winnetou and Pierre Brice (the main Winnetou actor).
I like how he's looking so wake and determined right at you.

ну все достаточно монохромное и по тону все влипает, я в общем и целом....а эта дядя вроде получше вышла)

Дядя отличная) но если тебя тревожит малоцветье, то бери себя в руки и добавляй тона. Я тоже другой раз впадаю в ступор, мне кажется, что гамма бедная и тд. И начинаю ломать себя, хотя не всегда успешно. Понятно, что акварель в десятки раз сложнее моей цифры. Но ты профи)

Я вообще подозреваю, что все зависит в итоге от настроения, как это ни банально звучит, гыгы, за профи отдельное мерси)))да, вот по поводу ломания себя все неоднозначно, мне кажется , что не ломать надо, а то это часто печальный результат, а чем то вдохновиться, это скорее приведет к чему то хорошему, про цифровую живопись не знаю ничего(я из леса))поэтому могу только комментировать на уровне нравиться не нравиться,
а если в целом, то возможно инструмент, которым пользуешься не так важен, важно передал ты свою мысль или нет....

Не, если я, скажем, буду ждать настроения, то ждать мне до заговения морковки)))) поэтому для меня лучше всего - взять себя в жесткие руки и делать, делать и делать. ))) А акварель всяко сложнее цифры , это однозначно.
