hey, you can blend pictures together in GIMP without having to close the window???

don't worry i'm new too at gimp lol so i'm not sure how to answer that :/ which window would you close? what i did was:
1)open the background by right-clicking on it and choosing open: using gimp
2)then in gimp in the menu somewhere you can find new: open as layers and then choose the model's photo.
3)edited and painted on each layer seperately
did this answer that? if not then could you be more specific please? i'd love to help..if i can lol

Looks great, though a higher-resolution background and better blending and lighting would do the concept more justice.

actually the original background had a great resolution but i blended it and ended up blending too much :/ i'll work on the lighting and try to blend better next time. thanks for the comment

i think i shouldn't have too but i was worried that the tail would look to fake(?) and obviously painted and the background would be too real :/ but i guess practice makes perfect and so i'll practice a lot more
