Description
These are (little) Julia and Marcia Cavenhaugh.
As Julia is two years older than Marcia and ran away from their mother's pirate ship at the age of 6 (she stole a long-boat and went off to find her grandfather who had escpaed his daughter's clutches even earlier), this is a shot of the girls being around 5 and 3 years old.

Julia is showing the younger (and calmer) Marcia around, running around on their mother's ship, the Queen Of Oblivion. I'm not quite sure if the girls were allowed to run around like that, but I like to imagine it. Good old Serena Mae must've been a tyrant though or Julia wouldn'z have run off...

Somehow, I'm posting the girls' storyline backwards Whatever.

The... thing above Marcia's head is Jolly Roger, Julia's pet parrot. Actually, Julia rescued Jolly much later but, oh, call it artistic freedom
