Description It's a spacescape, with quite a bit of purple and some experimentation. I had a go at making detailed stars and these have been scaled down for the purpose of this picture. I also wanted to have a variety of planets so I put quite a few in there and did some bright lighting to make it all stand out.

Front Planet was done in 3ds Max, the two others were done in photoshop.

I like it mostly, I think you could have added more depth to it though to make the stars seem even further away :d.

Yeah looking back at it that would have helped. As always still fine tuning.

Oh, sorry for the spam, but one more thing. I wonder whats the reason for you naming this "Terminus". Is there any relation to the Foundation series by Isaac Asimov?

I've never taken any Art classes what so ever all self taught. Also don't worry your self too much about comparing work, your art is more important. Focusing on that and taking inspiration from others is a good way of getting your self onto the route of a solid individual art style.

Two of my favourite sci-fi guys are Firstfleet and Overseer. Firstfleet because of how good his modelling and rendering is and Overseers overall final pieces.

I've never read any of Asimov's books, might be time to change that. I called it Terminus in relation to the Mass Effect series wild area of space.

Ah cool . I can draw better, but I don't have a tablet, and using a mouse sucks lol xD. I take inspiration from Andree Wallin, Adam Burn. They are amazing artists, and I wanna paint like them, but I doubt thats gonna happen with a touchpad haha.

I don't know Firstfleet, but I've seen Overseer before .

I think that might be a reference to his book actually. There are lots of references to Asimov books, especially to his robot books (He wrote I, Robot so there lol xD).

Damn a reference that's a reference to reference, bugger.

I couldn't paint even if I tried, there is a big stick between me that.

Have your ever seen anything by Chris Foss? I love his stuff and would love the new book out by him. My dad has 'Diary of a Spaceperson' and that got me into space stuff so long a go.

Yeah haha

o.O, so you photomanipulate then? I thought you painted your stuff, I only paint bits of mine but still :d.

Well now I have xD. It's pretty cool, not quite my style, but it's still cool. My dad got me into the Foundation series haha xD

I usually use brushes for the nebulas, plenty of grunge and cloud picture layers. The rest is mostly 3d stuff heavily manipulated that has been rendered in Max.

A mixed bag really but it works.

Ah I see, I always use the soft brush for EVERYTHING lol xD. I guess I should really learn to use more, too lazy to try all the brushes out :d. AND I only have photoshop Q_Q lol.

Just download the brushes you need. Makes things a lot easier.

Haha I don't know what brushes I should download xD. Like do people download waterfall brushes to make waterfalls? OR just a textured brush to paint them themselves. Or do people download cloud brushes? Or do they paint those them selves. Or plant brushes, or are those painted by a normal brush too?

I advise texture brushes, that way you can overlay on a painted area to give more freedom. Some people would obviously paint stuff themselves it's just a matter of personnel preference.

True, you're a much better artist than me though, and you're only a year older than me :d. I'm just a photoshop hobbyist that doesn't take any art classes lol. .
