Hu Xie

Quick Bio:

Born in Japan, Hu was a regular everyday child. His father, a Samurai by the name of Gemma was a well to do warrior and had competed in the SDL for a little while before retiring to continue his role as defender to the shogun. Unfortunately, life was never meant to be simplistic for Hu.

A terrible secret leaked that Hu's mother, Noko was a supposed Kitsune. Dishonour fell upon Hu's family - the mother having slipped away into the night, which only cemented the claims. In an act of honour preservation, Gemma offered his shogun to commit seppuku. Taking his son to ensure the family name kept their value, Gemma planned on ending the bloodline, so that there was no chance of corruption being snaked into the honourable name (Which Hu actually does not go by).

Something went awry during the act - Hu did not want to die and hesitated long enough to see his father's last breath leave his lips. Becoming an orphan and considered to be the son of a Kitsune, or even a Kitsune himself, Hu dedicated his life to trying to track down the 'so-called' fox spirits and either ending their lives, or finding out more about his mother.

Upon hearing that a figure known as 'ekos' who had 'mysterious abilities' and was known as The Uncatchable Fox, Hu decided that the SDL would be his best bet at finding this spirit and catching him.

Quick personality:

Hu is not exactly all joys and giggles. He's cold, distant and quite frankly; rude. He has no time for people who think they're better han others and will often put them in their place without hesitation. He fights with a variety of styles, as he has travelled almost the entire eastern hemisphere in search of the fox spirit legends, learning chinese, korean and japanese fighting styles and mixtures.

Having trained himself in poisons and hallucenagens, Hu does not rely on large, bulky and cumbersome weapons in order to defeat his foes - often either using one of many smoke-bombs that are filled with mind-numbing drugs, or simply knicking his opponent to allow the coated blades of his wakazashis to deliver the toxins into their blood. It is not to say that the man cannot fight. One on one, he is a force to be reckoned with, or he would not have survived half of what the tales say he went through.

He is fast and precise - but he sufferes from a bad case of motormouth. Speaking to his opponents helps him decide what kind of defeat they deserve - be it humiliating, discrete or even leaving them to win. Winning and losing don't truly matter to this individual, all that matters (so far) is tracking down Pekos and getting information on his so called Kitsune parent.

A few things to note:

Hu's nickname is 'Kit', short for Kitsune. He is well known for supposedly being of fox-spirit heritage and through the years of travelling, he has received a rather wide range of reputations.

Due to his style and his amazing speed, those that were once rescues, assisted or even defeated by the man consider him a demon or spirit himself. The hallucinations didn't exactly help that either.

Hu doesn't react well to being called Kitsune or his nickname, but will not immediately turn to violence if provoked.

Hu doesn't harm innocents, they don't deserve it. Hu WILL however go after someone who is a braggart, even if it is just to knock him or her down a peg.

Hu LOVES Tofu, but eats it in secret, for Kitsune are said to prefer Tofu over any other food. In order to indulge himself in the food he loves most, but not add to his increasing link to the Kitsunes, Hu has to consume his loved food in areas not often distrubed by others. (Thus allowing for some secret battles and the like )
