Yeah actual Zelda fanart rather then for my own story. The idea here is that it's been five years since the happenings of Skyward Sword and Link hasn't picked up a sword since placing Fi in the pedestal. Since she was his friend and companion I feel like he wouldn't feel right wielding a regular blade after having her with him for so long. I feel like Zelda would probably get on him for it but he'd return by saying that he still had all his other weapons that he had gained on his journey. She gets annoyed but he still goes off into the forest on his own anyway, one day he goes further then he had before and happens upon Demise's sword, and that's where this picture comes in. I made a little short story to go with it.

'I haven't been this far into the forest for a long time....' Link thought to himself as he walked into a clearing. His eyes widened when he saw what rested in the middle. Stabbed into the ground was Demise's Blade, "Ghirahim....." he breathed out thinking the self-proclaimed demon lord was gone forever having seen his blade turn to ash during his fight with Demise.
"Well, well if it isn't the Hero of the Sky...come to gloat maybe?" Ghirahim said though he didn't realize that he couldn’t be seen or even heard thus becoming annoyed as Link did nothing but kneel in front of the blade looking at it rather than himself who was sitting on the hilt. "Oi that's rather rude even for you Skychild." he growled.
"Damn... you've seen better days that's for sure..." Ghirahim growled at his words, "I didn't think.... I didn't think that you got hurt bad enough to be chipped and scarred..." Link said looking the blade over seeing there was a gash in the flat of the blade that nearly went the whole way through, and two of the points were broken as well as the hand guard having damage. "Your gem is busted too.... guess Fi and I really did a number on you that last time we fought...." he sighed reaching out hand only hovering near the blade but not touching. Ghirahim watched confused and held his breathe as Link's hand grew close but when it was pulled back he almost felt annoyed. Link stood "I never wanted to see you like this....sure you were annoying as hell and your vainness pissed me off most of the time but.... you..." He shook his head, "I don't even know if you can hear me right now... Fi went to sleep when I placed her in the temple so I guess it's possible you are asleep too.... You were a good fight at least, and kept me on my toes."
"You are even stranger then I remember Skychild." Ghirahim huffed propping his chin in his hand, "Just because you put that stupid goody two shoes away doesn't mean you shouldn't have a sword. It's still dangerous isn't it? Not that I care about your wellbeing." He rolls his eyes, "I'd love to see you get torn apart actually. But at least now I know you can't see me...." he sighs, "just shows how weak I've become." he looked at his hand then clenched it irritated at this fact. "If you....if you hadn't destroyed my Master! I wouldn't be stuck like this!! This is your fault! It's all because of you that I'm in such a state!!!" He yelled gripping his hair.
"I’m sorry...." Link whispered making Ghirahim looked up at him but Link was still looking at the blade not him. "You were only doing what you thought you had too...but so was I. We couldn't both have what we wanted though, and I couldn't let you destroy the world just to bring him back... I couldn't let you kill Zelda and everyone else I care for. I do and don't understand why you did what you did....but I have to ask something now that I see you like this. Did he ever actually take care of you? Cause if he did then you wouldn't be so hurt. If he had taken proper care of your blade you could have taken that beating and not gotten a scratch. So why care about someone who only saw you as a tool, and nothing more?" he asked with a sigh, "I know I won't get an answer but if you can hear me then... at least think about it?" He turned to leave.
"...It doesn't matter if he cared about me.... he was the one that mattered. He was my master. I had to take care of myself." he muttered but thought back to all the times he had been watching Link and seen him taking care of Fi who was just as devoted to Link as he himself was devoted to Demise. Fi never once had even a small scratch on her. He snarled envious of her. "What does it matter now anyway...." He sighed watching the Hero leave. "I'm stuck here like this.... AND IT'S YOUR FAULT!!" He yelled and was shocked when Link turned around sharply eyes wide. He froze as Link looked around having only managed to hear that last part. "He....he heard me....." he whispered as he watched the Hero sigh and continue on his way out of the clearing. "....Alone again..."

He was sitting on the ground the next day leaning back against the flat of the blade watching the birds fly around, "Now that I think about he looked a good bit older then I remember... I wonder how long it's been since then...." He spoke to himself with a sigh, it was hard to tell time when stuck in one place like this for so long. He sat up when he heard something approaching. "Oh it's you again....why the hell did you bring her...." he grumbled seeing Zelda following Link then noticed she was actually several steps behind and they were arguing. He hummed amused by that.
"I don't care if you still have other weapons Link you need a sword!" she yelled at him holding one out.
"I’ve lasted five years in this forest without one I'll be fine, stop pestering me about it already!" He grumbled looking around and stopping in his tracks realizing where he was. "I didn't think I'd come in this far yet...." He said ignoring Zelda as he moved towards the blade. Zelda gasped behind him seeing it as well, "either that or it's closer than I thought."
"Th-that's Ghirahim ....isn't it? Link we should leave."
"He's stuck in the ground and is hurt I don't really think there's too much to worry about at the moment." He said over his shoulder to her before looking back to the blade, "Though I'm sure you'd still be annoying as all get out with that mouth of yours if I could hear you. You did like to hear yourself talk after all." Link said smirking at the sword. Zelda huffed asking why he was talking to it. "Him not it. You never called Fi an it."
"Fi is different, she was a spirit blade he's a.... a demon." she countered. Ghirahim watched the back and forth curiously, once upon a time the Hero probably would have listened to her at a drop of a dime yet now he was opposing her. This made him smirk at the thought that the boy had finally grown a backbone of his own.
"Five years though..." He sighed and stood Link was only an inch shorter then him now, "It really has been that long hasn't it...."He found himself reaching towards the Hero's chest "If I could touch you....I could kill you.... and yet I've fought you so many times and you still stand here as strong as ever while I rust.... So many chances to kill you yet...you live. So would I really? Would I kill you?" he said though figured nether heard him.
"Link come on regardless of if he can or can't doesn't matter, it's nearly sunset we need to head back."
"Then go back, I'm not scared of the woods at night. You really think I went back to the sky to sleep every night back then? No, I stayed down here. I can handle myself just fine with or without a blade to call my own and stop trying to force one on me. You know very well why I won't pick one up."
"Because none of them have soul I know but-"
"No buts Zelda, it's not that I won't use one, it's that I can't. I tried, it just...it wasn't the same, it wasn’t smooth enough to handle, it's balance wasn't right, there was no...no life to it. It was just a hunk of metal..." he shook his head as she sighed.
"That's what a sword is Link, metal. Fi was special, of course you aren't going to find another like her." She said but he shook his head once more at her not knowing how to make her understand. Some blades felt like there was more to them then just metal but it still wasn't enough to feel right in his grip while others felt like nothing more than dead weight in his hand. Pippit understood, heck even Groose got it, but she who was not a warrior didn't understand.
"No Zelda, you are right on a lot of things but not this. Trust me when I say me trying to use that blade would actually put me in harm’s way rather than keep me out of it."
"Fine be that way but when you get hurt because you weren't properly equipped don't come crying to me!" she huffed leaving trying to act like she really didn’t care. He sighed still looking at the blade in front of him never having turned to look at Zelda.
"You've know idea how often we argue over this..." he muttered though was sure Ghirahim probably didn't care. "She just doesn't get it..."
"It's hard to understand something you've never experienced." he shrugged replying even though he couldn't be heard as he got back on top of the hilt. He watched the Hero sit himself on the ground in front of him. "I can't help but wonder why you are still here though..." Link ran a hand through his hair making Ghirahim take notice that he didn't have his hat on. ‘Come to think about it he wasn’t wearing it yesterday, it was a horrible fashion statement anyway good riddance.’ He thought.
"I heard you yesterday... I know you are there." he reached out and ran his fingers lightly over the flat of the blade flinching back when a flash of light shown and head a sharp yelp. When he opened his eyes and looked around he gasped. Ghirahim had fallen in a heap on the ground on the other side of the sword, and he could see him. "G-Ghirahim? H-how?"
"Ow......huh?" he looked over and saw Link looking right at him then looked back at the sword seeing that it had fixed itself partially and looked at himself seeing some of the scars were gone. "What?" He stared at the blade while Link stared at him.
"You really are a mess...." Was all the boy could get out as he took in Ghirahim’s appearance. The demon’s hair was longer and not well kept at all, and his outfit was torn and bloody. Ghirahim glared at him and growled.
"I'm not sure if you noticed Skychild but it has been sometime since I was solid and could do anything other than sit here."
Link smirked "I'm not really a child anymore you know but... I guess with how old you must be it wouldn't really matter that I'm 23 now." He stood and offered a hand to Ghirahim to help him up. The demon blade looked at the hand confused "What? I'm helping you off the ground."
"Go away." Link blinked at him, "LEAVE! I wouldn't even be in this mess if it wasn't for you!" he slapped his hand away. "Stop coming here and leave me to morn my failure!!" he shouted angrily standing on his own.
"....Alone again...." The Demon Blade stared at him wide eyed and confused, "that's what you said yesterday, it wasn't as loud as when you yelled about it being my fault but I still heard it. We have no reason to be enemies anymore so why do you insist on hating me?" Ghirahim looked away, "If you could touch me would you kill me?" he looked back up.
"You...heard?"
"Yes, since that outburst you had I've been able to hear. I acted like I couldn't because of Zelda being here. Tell me to leave again and I will and won't return I swear." he said looking at the man that had once nearly taken everything from him. Ghirahim looked at him for a moment then looked away. Link sighed taking that as being told to leave. He turned "Good bye then." a hand on his arm stopped him as he went to move away. "Huh?"
He let go suddenly seeming shocked at his own actions, "Don't... you don't have to stay away...." he said turning away. Link smiled and nodded saying he'd come back again tomorrow. "Whatever."

Tsundere Ghirahim is tsundere. So yeah that ended up being longer then I thought but whatever.(edit11/27/15 spelling and such)

Ghirahim didn't seem that tsundere to me; I guess five years of being trapped, thus being forced to contemplate, would mellow him out a bit. I liked the way you wrote Link's character (development) as well c:
(There's one thing, though: Link is nearly 18 in the game; he's the "oldest" of all Links, actually. That would make him 22-23 now.)

I though he was like 15-16 that's why I put 21 my bad. I actually thought the Twilight Link was the oldest. Well now with Hyrule Warriors I think he's the oldest but yeah.
The tsundere comment was more aimed at the last sentence of "you don't have to leave' 'whatever' more then it was the whole thing but yes.
It's cool you are writing a story if you have any of it posted anywhere I'd like to read it. I've not seen anyone else with the same idea of him not wanting to or rather not taking up another sword even after time has passed. I've seen were he he is hesitant but does take one up simply because he is either nagged into it or just out of need to continue as a knight.
The story that was written turned out a bit different then the one I had in my head while drawing this and became longer then I planned but i'm glad you enjoyed it. Though I don't think I'd continue unless I had another picture to go along with it and I'm not sure what i would do with it from this point anyway.
I'm also glad you like the art and my idea for Ghirahim though I will say he was originally going to be simply standing behind the blade not sitting on it. But this idea came and I liked it better glad I went with it. His face is actually meant to be nearly apathetic, but what you said works too.
(on a side note if i did continue this zelda would probably end up being a really annoying....just cause)

He is over 17 at the beginning of his quest - it was an official source stating it, but I couldn't find it again. (Also, to cite Groose: "You're nearly a man, and still aren't able to decide for yourself what to have for lunch.") Ah, yes, HW Link, I guess that one is oldest now.
Yes, I guessed c: I usually detect OOCness rather fast, but in Ghirahim's case, it seemed... logical for him to dislike solitude, hence asking Link to come back. (Also, he must have felt very alone, wandering the surface, waiting for the opportunity to awaken his master - he talked Link's ear off during each encounter - so, no, he doesn't like being alone.)
Seeing as he's... weightless, sitting on his blade seems more elegant ^.~ He likes to perch on things anyway, so... c:
I would love to see another artwork, and a continuation of this, there's so much you can do with this! Link picking up Ghirahim's blade after all (I mean, he just touched him, and that seemed to help Ghirahim's sorry state a lot). Zelda would probably explode.
Apropos Zelda, well... from my standpoint, I found her kinda... heart-warming, and annoying at the same time. But I guess the latter overbalanced the former; I felt like slapping her really hard for the stuff she did to Link. I don't like character bashing in stories; however, there's nothing wrong with uh, highlighting someone's flaws a bit. *nag nag nag oops sorry I used you nag nag push of ledge ftw nag nag*

The 'you're almost a man' though doesn't hold top much to me on him being 17-18, I'm not saying you are wrong I'm merely pointing out that in many cultures 16 is considered an adult, especially in older times which Zelda is kinda based in. Hence my thinking him younger, not to mention he really doesn't seem that old and Twilight Link seemed to be closer to 18 then he did. But alas we could go in circles with this all week. In my story he was 15-16 and is now 21 so yeah...
Yeah I've never really seen him as liking to be on his own...well to be alone is different then being on one's own so you get what I'm trying to say I'm sure. Most of his blandness came from being able to come up with anything witty for him to say....

Ah Zelda so many games I think you are great yet in others...not so much. I really liked her in Twilight and Wind Waker, and Ocraina but mostly because of Sheik but yeah. In Skyward Sword I found her... I'm not sure how to explain it, overbearing isn't really the right term for it. And while she was cute and I could tell she cared for Link it really irritated me that she so easily listened to Impa and just left without a word at Eldin even after everything he did to catch up. I mean sure she has her own place to go but she's jsut like 'Oh I'm sorry you ran all this way but I'm going to leave again see you at the gate of time' and then Impa irritated me I mean come on I just faced down an exploding lava ball with legs and you are telling me I'm late?! But...yeah.... she'd be annoying in this story simply because she would be overbearing towards like trying to guide him every step of the way telling what to do and not to do. (and then the hey lets push you off the cliff to your doom thing cause i know all....)
I did actually go and find the teaser in your gallery and read it but it made me confused more then anything since each bit was very choppy and it was hard to tell who was talking. And I'm not a Yuga fan in anyway so...yeah not gonna read that one sorry.
If I did continue what would it be......uhhhhhhhhh ..............probably a real slow romance if I was to turn it into a full story.

That's what I thought too - in some cultures, it was even 14 years olds who had to hunt some animal, or pass a test of courage, in order to be regarded as adults. However, Zelda is not actually "our" old times, it's sort of a parallel universe. Ok, just Groose's quote isn't enough; on the other side, look at Groose oO; They're the same age... I am not sure whether a 15 years old could have already built up that much muscle.
I found the source again, though. It's from zeldawiki.org: "Shortly after the release of Twilight Princess Aonuma gave an interview to Nintendo Dream, where he stated that Link is 16 years old in the game. According to Hyrule Historia, Link from Skyward Sword is seventeen and a half years old."
(Phew, I didn't lose my mind after all lol.) Of course he can be as old as you want him to be in your own story.
Yes, I think the difference would be... Ghirahim was forcedly alone. One should think he should have been glad to be rid of Demise for a while, but that's probably not the way he is.
As second picture... hmm... Link polishing/repairing Ghirahims blade, with Zelda simmering silently in the background? Or not so silently. And the chapter to go with it of course; there's so much you can do with this, ranging from sad to hilarious (imagine what kind of dialogues would occur...)
Ah yes, that's Zelda in a nutshell, you summed her up pretty well. Her "elusiveness" irked me, too.

Drarry XD I've written so incredibly much Drarry stuff back then (and James/Severus too). HP has been my fandom for quite some years. I guess I lost interest then; Zelda "abducted" me, threw me into a dungeon, and threw away the key c:

With Groose I honestly had this head canon that he was held back 
while that sounds like an interesting picture I don't think it would work, I'll think about it.
The writing style. It was this person talking, that person talking, this person, that person. There was no in between with any kind of background info. I find that hard to follow and lose interest cause there is nothing but dialog and vauge info on what is happening. Dialog is good as long as it's balanced well with action, and there was no action to go with much of what you had there.
Not your fault he just rubs me the wrong way always has since I played the game.

Ahhh, I get it; you know, I deliberately included pieces of the story which would not give away any information whatsoever, only raise speculations (I might have overdone it, though). I can assure you, the story does not proceed like this. I can link you to the German version . Just so you can scroll through a bit and see the... let's say, text flow. You'll probably find it to be quite different from the teaser.
(Still, while writing a story, giving up ALL information at once would make a reader lose interest as well, so I do that gradually.)

I used to have a Drarry rp as well, with a friend, on livejournal! The thing expanded a bit too much, though, no chance in hell to make this into a story. Look at the statistics on the right, it's... enormous o.O
What was your first Zelda? Mine was actually Skyward Sword, and then I went and bought the other (also older) games as well. I've also played older Zelda games on the SNES, but the dungeon-key-thing never happened back then.

I'm not saying the sources are wrong I was just saying I don't like wiki in general since so many people have access to it. Yes it does have a lot of good stuff but some of it you just can't know if it's made up or not. I did actually pull out my historia and look so I know that's right.

My first game....was I believe link to the past actually. Then twilight and wind waker, I only got to play a bit of four swords though. There was another of the 8-bit's I played but can't think of it off the top of my head. But yeah link to the past.

There are content moderators, to avoid every idiot running rampant there, though; it's Wikipedia, not Anarchia xD It's ok to be cautious, of course.
Let's put it this way: As long as an information is not included in the main source (aka game, book etc.), I see it as the author's choice whether to use it or not. For example, Harry Potter: "This story takes place during Harry's fifth year! He's 18 in this!" Uh, no. "In my story, Dumbledore is not gay, he's with McGonagall!" Uh, ok? (Seeing as Rowling stated this outside the book - so I'd accept this fanfiction premise, despite not liking it.)

Oh, my... this teaser got quite different reactions, ranging from "OMG now I have to know what's going to happen" to "too little information makes it annoying". I'm grateful for every insight in the readers' minds! (Meh, but the teaser's going to be deleted anyway, and replaced by the first chapter.)
Ghirahim should totally get a different outfit, seeing as his current one is hole-y, in places in which he probably didn't intend it to be c: In my story, he got a new one as well, not necessarily similar to his previous one. I'm not a fan of [insert five massive paragraphs of fashion and design ramblings about new outfit here] in stories, though. I described it once, shortly, as seen through Link's eyes.
I gave away my SNES, and Game Cube, and now I'd like to kick myself -.- I'd love to buy, and play Four Swords too. I've bought TP, and Wind Waker, and quite some games for the 3DS. Still, I regard Skyward Sword as my first Zelda, seeing as it's the game that made me go "aspdofkjasdf write fanfiction" "askdjfh wear heart container necklace". Read: Rabid fan *cough*.

I realized that you probably didn't I was just messing around. I have friends who read other languages and are like here, and I'm like no can do.
Lots of reactions are good they help make you a better righter, I just have a problem when jerks decide to be straight up haters and just bash every little thing they can think of (it happened with a story me and my brother were writing)
And no it would maybe be a paragraph at most for the explanation of the outfit, i don't like when people take up half the chapter to explain that 'it was a lose fit silken shirt that shined slightly in the pale light and while it was slightly lose it still fit snuggly giving off yadda yadda yadda yadda.....' if it's lose but form fitting say so at the beginning....
I still have my game cube, and my gameboy color and advanced and sp and ds andIi have a 3ds and wii and wii u too.....I don't get rid of electronic gaming hardware.
On another note this may be one of the longest conversations I've had on deviantart that wasn't related to a group.
