Not sure whether to call this ‘‘Viridian Forest’’ or “Catch That Pikachu!”This scene was all to familiar to me when the Pokémon games first came to the USA. In all of the Kanto games my first two Pokémon would always be Charmander and Pikachu who is located in the Viridian Forest. Coded in as a rare, I always had the hardest time trying to catch one considering my Charmander would be a Charmelion when I finally found one.
Last month I was looking through my old games and found my Pokémon Blue. It had no data so I decided to play it for a while. I found out why to because when I saved the game after beating Brock and cut it back on all the data was gone NEVER BUY SECONDHAND GAMES. But the blast to the past brought this image to my head and I grabbed my sketch book and started drawing.
I can’t draw most Pokémon in the anime style like the show so I have to draw them in my own style. I like it but I still have a long way to go on my inking TT^TT May upload the sketch I don’t know yet but I wish I had a program to color it

lol love how you detailed the grass...when it comes to grass I always get lazy. the trees rock and it has a Charmander so it's going to be cool regardless lol I always picked him as my starter pokemon back in the day.

Ohhh, great work bringing back some memories! I too remember looking around forever for Pikachu when I first got Pokemon Red. I love the perspective here and the bug catcher in the background!

haha thank you and your welcome! i never could get enough cions to buy one at the casino thing. X'D yeah this scene takes place right at the entrance (the lone tree, trainer tip sign, and bug collector)

You could call it "Pikachu Gone Wild", "Into the Viridian" or something similar XD This is an awesome drawing even if it doesn't look like the anime ^0^
I think there are some free programs like GIMP. I think Inkscape works too.

i tried GIMP but never could firgure it out. inkspace? i'll have to check that one out

I've used it for vectoring (although I have never posted a vector here) but it should work for colouring
and GIMP isn't that hard. If you had experience with any other tool like Photoshop or SAI (I only had the month trial of SAI ;-; ) then you should be familiar with the interface.
I haven't used GIMP in a long time so I don't really remember it much.

i tried but my computor wont let me download hardly anything because it's so old >.< but i was able to get Manga Studio and i am very happy with it
