Ah, a very classic representation of the manticore. The Persians depicted it as having a human head with three rows of sharp teeth, and only sometimes with wings. However, it is the Greek version, the one with the lion's head, and leathery, bat-like wings, that I like best.
So few remember orΒ knowΒ that the Greek manticore, despite the mane, was female
