Been having one of those weeks where everything feels harder than usual. Painting helps relax me.So, I decided to revisit the biddinal which I created back in my angsty teen years since they're still a fun concept. Decided to use a similar colorscheme as this old piece: [link]
It's fun to revisit older material and view it from a new point of view. I've been trying to sketch rather than play games. Makes me productive.

Yeah, hahaa, Jenna left a huge mark, especially in my early art days.
I am happy to say that I feel I've reached a point where I can draw things with a clear inspiration (or in this case, re-drawing something with a clear inspiration), and yet have my personal style and vision be the driving point behind the image.
I always imagined them to be lion like. Once I got past my "too cool for inspiration" stupid phase, I actually have given myself the ability to make them resemble something more alive.

Naw, I've just been taking my time studying things I need to study. I want to go back into some of my old concepts in the near future :3
It's not a super secret! I use a ton of either downloaded texture brushes, or just use the ones already included in Photoshop (the dry media brushes) and play with the brush settings and make combinations in dual brushes until they make something I like.
