Also, a class assignment. I had started this as a personal piece with no deadline, but then my class picked this piece as the piece they wanted me to complete for my final. I just fired up the mic and did it overnight while talking to my boyfriend. Worked wonders.

Beautiful concept - I like that you included Narwhals. I also like your non-traditional mix of color. The whale has purples and reds, the narwhals come in both purples and greens - so they are unique unto each other, as well as the rest of the fish in the image. I feel like the goldfish in the lower right-hand corner is a bit flat - but you d3efinitely make up for that with theΒ swordfish! I think he's quite beautiful.

Thank you! I use a mix of custom and downloaded texture brushes, often set to high opacity. It comes with the benefit of giving me that rewarding feeling of dragging real media across canvas.

This reminds me of that episode of Dr Who where Dumbledore (or the actor who portrayed him, my line between reality and fantasy becomes somewhat blurred when Harry Potter is involved) owns the clouds and they have fish in them and then The Doctor saves the world by getting a welsh opera singer to belt out a tune. Great episode and great art - love it!

hahaa, I haven't even seen Dr. Who, but I could imagine any sort of fantastical storyline having fish as wild mounts. Nothing really beats that, really :3
