Taken May 2007 at Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle.The lions are an elderly couple, Jake and Juanita that had been living in the zoo together for 8 years or so. They were both 16 years old at the time.
Since then they have been removed from the exhibit and placed in quarantine to make room for the zoo's two new lions, 8-year old south African purebred lions Hubert and Kalisa.
The lions (especially Juanita) were as tame as pussycats and often showed their affection for one another.

The Oregon Zoo is counting down till we get out lions. Hope they'll be as adorable as these two.
Are they going to stay in quarantine, or move in with the two new lions as well?

I visited the Oregon Zoo a couple years back and was quite suprised they didn't have lions, so that's great news!
No, they wouldn't ever put in these two with the new ones unfortunately, they'd probably get maimed. Last I heard they're going to stay in quarantine until the zoo can find an animal shelter to house them in their old age. Kinda sad, they were lovely animals.

Ah yeah. I would imagine at their old age there would be a bit of a dominance thing between the two males.
I hope they can find a really good home for those two.
