I tried to do a fancy headdress and ended up with...well this. I Still thought it looked kinda cool though. I also tried a thinner face this time, not sure if i like it or not.ΒRelated content

You have a great command of your line work, but you left the neck and shoulder area so sketchy that it doesn't seem like part of the drawing. I know that we all tend to focus on faces, but her neck can also be an area of beauty and it's the easiest one to do. Don't leave it as an afterthought.
On her face, it seems as though her left eye (our left) is too far off to the left. I think to make sense with her face it shouldn't be so far off, and a tiny bit higher. When you think about it, if both here eyes were that far apart from her nose, then on a front facial view both her eyes would be on the sides of her face.
Also I can't tell what you were trying to do with her lips. Is her mouth open or are those her lips? If her mouth is closed then keep in mind to never shade the upper lip so much. For realism, the shadows on the upper lip are caused by the philtrum and different lip shapes like a cupid's bow. But anime is totally different, it would suffice to just have a thin, delicate line for the lip boundary.
Anyway, awesome job on the whole, she's quite lovely! Β

Thanks for the feedback! I really like it when people tell me ways to improve. I'll be sure to focus more on the neck. I've just started to work on things like the upper body and such so I'm not very good yet. I often comment on how I hate the left eye and find different ways to not draw it, so that's never getting any better. Also lips and noses are the worst part for me, so I'll try to improve on that too but it might take a while to see any improvement as i suck at them. For personal preference I don't put just a line for the mouth. But keep in mind that I'm no professional and still finding my own style, so I like to experiment. I keep it in the middle of anime and realism, so whatever happens to the lips happens i guess. Thanks again for the feedback!

Oh, ok, so you've just started with the upper body. Try Posemaniacs (these are nude poses, but no skin just muscles) if you haven't heard of it already, they have a large selection of poses that you can study from. Just for positional referencing, because the models are lifelike.
For the left eye, try making more ways in which you can structurally help yourself to place it, for example by adding more reference lines. I would just practice eye placement alone for a while, until you come to a placement that works visually as well as is comfortable for you. It can definitely get better! Don't sell yourself short without giving it the practice it deserves, because this stuff is hard. There has to be something in specific that makes you hate it and keep you from drawing it. Do you already know what that is?
The same thing with the mouth and noses, just practice those for a while in isolation so that you can understand the shapes and structures better. Then practice the placement of the features within the head. The fact is that you're dealing purely with shapes that represent facial features. Don't let the thought of "this is a mouth/nose/eye" trip you up.
From what I've seen from your other drawings, I don't think you suck at these things at all. I'm happy to give feedback anytime, I hope it was helpful!

I had the redrawn linework, the base coloring, and most of the shading done. (didn't save was too into it.) Went to the bathroom and GUESS WHAT! Piece of Shit Windows had to do a DAMN update. I was even off line too. So I wasn't planning for it. Give me another day I am not in the mood anymore tonight. Sorry. If not tomorrow (cause most of the time I don't draw when I am off work) I will have it done by Monday. Sorry I am so mad at my computer right now.Β
