Oh. My. Gosh.I went cruisin' into my old Sketchbook box today, and you will NOT guess what picture I found in my 2004 sketch book: The very FIRST drawing I ever did (and the very last until this year) of Danny Fenton.
I litterally screamed when I saw that.
I honestly was ashamed at how he turned out back then. I even made place to add Tucker, I think, or Danny's ghost half, can'T remember. But I was so ashamed at how he turned out, that I just dropped it and always skipped over that page when I drew in it.
Butch Hartman Style is a pain to do when you first get acquainted with it.
So I figured I would post another "Then and Now" picture. That's a doodle I did a few weeks back of Danny's annoyed look (I just LOVE that look on him in the shows!
) 2004 and 2010. About six years it took me to find the guts to draw Danny again... and fall in love with the show all over again. 
So now you guys can see that every artist has to start somewhere. We're not just born like that. We work at it. It's the passion, the habit of doing it all the time. It's the imagination, the movement in our hands that bring the pictures we do to life. It takes practice Lots and LOTS of practice.
But we all got there.
In my opinion, ANYONE can draw. Some just need to work harder at it, that's all. Nothing's impossible if you set your mind to it.

This brings back memories when I was learning to draw PnF. It was VERY hard for me just to draw Phineas's head. I always made his neck to long and other stuff. The hair was a pain at first, but it's easier now. And don't get me started on Ferb. My first fedoras were TERRIBLE! I look back at them and think 'Did I seriously think that that was good when I drew it?'
My first Perry's were usually short, the bill was to skinny, and so were the legs. XD
I still can't draw Candace, however. I really need to practice the other characters. I also need to practice my DP characters, too.
I also enjoy going through my old sketches. It brings back memories..........
I honestly didn't start drawing PnF until I say about seven or eight months ago. I do know some of my firsts were on my math workbook. I was in advanced math, and we did two years of math in one, and the 2nd we were able to design our own cover. And I know I drew them some time after. XD

OMG!!! THAT WAS JUST LIKE ME!!!! Hey! that rhymed!! For five years I drew horribly, the characters all looked the same, the eyes were lines and the heads were circles... until 5th grade then EVERYTHING changed. I think I made progress after 3 years!

It's amazing what practice can do.
After seeing how much I improved, I was assured that:
If you practice enough, you can accomplish drawing ANYTHING.
BTW, did you know my middle name is Ashley? And some people call me Ash too? Weird huh?

Thanks for the inspirational words, miss KicsterAsh. Believe it or not, I really needed to read something exactly like that. I'm starting college soon to get back into drawing and animation, and those were the perfect pick-me-up words that I needed since I was starting to feel the nervousness and get the cold feet. So thank you!

I'm gonna show this to my brother. He keeps saying that he can't draw good but he has a few drawings that are really nice and I think he can do better. After all I think our family is talented, my grandfather and my aunt (his daughter) and me (I think) are really good at drawing.

That reminds me of when I found a prehistoric sketchbook while packing. The best drawing of Danny I've EVER made was in it. That kind of stuff creeps me out. When your better at drawing something years ago than now... that doesn't seem the case with you or the rest of the world. I like how your style changes. Along with the orange-ish paper!

I love this picture! I love the progress you've made. I've been drawing since I was six. I never took an art class, I want to so badly. But, I'm proud to say that whatever talent I have is by practicing and dedication. I'm also very observant. It'd mean so much to me if you took the time to view and comment my pictures. Wow. 6 years! And your hard work/dedication shows. I've been drawing for about 7 years. Ever since '03. But it was anime. I consider '10 the first real year. XDD. But THIS is awesome! You've come a VERY long way. 8D You should be very proud.

It's funny how you can look back and wonder "Why did people think those drawings looked cool?" I've come across those moments so many times now, it still makes me laugh.
