Yes, it would be, but not in this story:") He won't be a dark spirit , he will have his own body. This version of the puzzle is completly different and wayyy more powerfull than the one from the show. What he does, might seem dark and bad, but in his mind and the ones of all the assassins , it is just a sacrifice for the greater good of the people

Oh this is going to be a long comment so forgive my mistakes:"D
He was never a part of the royal family, he was adopted into the family of the Great Master of the assassins when he was just a baby. The Creed and the royal court never got along, the first because they despiced how corrupt and bad the pharaoh was becoming, let alone how bad he made his people suffers. The latter is afraid of how powerfull and welcomed the Creed has become among the peasants and anong some very rich and powerfull families(yeah the priests are the bad guys here.. but only because they can't see the real motivations of the Creed)' the pharaoh wants the power of the puzzle (Piece of Eden)to rule and conquer, but considering it was under the next Great Master ( Atem) protection, he seeks out another way to obtain that power. So the other Millennium items were born. Long story short he attacked the Creed headquarters and killing almost all of the members including Atem family right in front of his eyes. He didn't die because the puzzle saved him locking him away and putting him in a sory of limbo. The puzzle was kept secure for generations until Yugis granfather (Great Master of the American assassins) got the task to protect it. He is not considered an imposer because he never was one, he is conisdered like a terrible human being because the common modernpeople thinks that Assassin's are just criminals. The history of how the oharaoh was actually the bad one was changed, and he became the hero.
