Responsible Furfarms euthanize the foxes. It's just fine.

I totally agree with you sweetheart. We have no right to kill an innocent. Everything deserves to know the beauty of a long life. Well done for bringing this subject to D.a. XXXX

"... looks best on whom it originally belongs." I agree completely! I'm not a selfless peron who goes around preaching animal rights, I couldn't give a f*** as long as it doesn't directly involve me. But it's such a waste to kill something so beautiful and for what? a small piece of a coat, which can be imitated to perfection in a much better quality. But apparently there's more prestige in wearing a beautiful coat made out of several dead animals (who probably suffered all their short, imprisoned lives) than a just as beautiful, syntheric coat.

Yes, I really wonder who likes the look of fur coats. People always look like like are either pimps or prositutes to me!

Yes, certainly. It is all for fashion, none fur surviving. Sadly the business is as high as in the 60s/70s :/
Sometimes I wonder who buys the products, because I never have seen any. Expect for some ols grannies.

large fashion companies, some big stars like JLo and P.Diddy mainly use fur in their clothing lines but also real fashion designers use allot of fur
its even been found out some used cat and dog fur from china in their clothing even tho it was label "raccoondog" to get it across borders and its not like anyone pays futher attention.

And that's terrible, isn't it?
If they would at least not import from countries with no regulations at all in the animal business *sigh*.

yea but those countries are cheaper so they do import fur with false labels like I said there's none there to control this

All you can personally do is to raise awareness about the relabeling and renaming of fur items from e.g. China, and the treatment of fur animals in generally. The best way to avoid more cruelty happen is education about the drawbacks. Then at least the ones insisting in buying fur items can not be accused of not knowing about what history their fur item has.
At least it's not allowed to import cat or dog pelts at all (at least in the EU).

its not allowed in the USA either, and besides I live in the EU (Netherlands) and illigal furtrade goes on here just as much as in the USA and Canada, in countries such as Italy, France, Germany and yes even the Netherlands its fully active and done on regular basis. fur gets sold with false labels, sure it gets "checked" every now and then but it still happens.. take a walk around in a leather store and you'll have no idea how much illigal fur gets sold there.

you can educate the kids/teenagers here on deviantart, a site filled with drama queens and trolls, but it wont change anything about furtrade itself becouse fur is used by much bigger company's who realy dont give a fuck about people's protest, aslong as their product sells to the media and fashion whore's.

negative? excuse me? you're the one being ignorant about fur-trade, you tell other people to buy fur yet you claim you have no idea what goes around with it.. I sorry but if you wish to "educate" people, I suggest you learn something about the subject first before crying "save the poor foxies"
I dont wish to try as I support taxidermy and legal hunt. I do not like furfarms, but how exactly are they diffrent from the slaughter house's where your hamburgers and sausage's come from, or the leather of the shoes you're wearing.
if you take my comment/opinion as negative, then thats entirely onto you, I simply give you information about this subject and if you dont like it.. too bad.. sorry for trying to EDUCATE you.
have a nice day madam.

Yes, negative, because I asked you to tell what your would do, as all I say you say does not change a thing. I know that my afford alone will not bring down the business, but at least I try to spread the word. And I have the feeling that you instead would like to do nothing about it because you think it's senseless to try. And yes, I call that negative.
Not negative against me, but negative about the things can't be changed.
I knew already about labeling, your are not telling me new stuff, sorry .
"you're the one being ignorant about fur-trade". Where? Please explain it.
"you tell other people to buy fur". No, I don't.
"you claim you have no idea what goes around". No. If anything I claim I do know about the business. Read the description, I linked a very educative manuscript there.
"crying "save the poor foxies"". No. Where do I do that? Show me.
"I dont wish to try as I support taxidermy and legal hunt." But they don't have anything to do with fur farms, so what's the point of not educating about fur farms?.
"I do not like furfarms", I know, and I like it.
"how exactly are they diffrent from the slaughter house's?". The main problem fur farms have is that they all block the public from their industry. You can visit quit any cattle, pig, chicken or whatsoever mean animal industry. From breeding to slaugtherhouse. And because everybody can have the view behind the scenes, the meat factories are much more well accepted by the public. If fur farms would be such nice places without severe problems, they should have not ALL have a big problem with visitors, filming and news articles. They fear the public, because fewer people would buy they would knew about the breeding, raising, living and killing circumstances. - Another big point is, that, just as you pointed out, lots of fur items come from abroad. And there not only the public has no control, but our controll agencies; meaning that our laws for local fur farms are not met in other countries. Especially those which produce the cheap masses, e.g. China, as you said.
See, if fur farms would all be okay it would be so easy for them to proove it. But they can't. And that's where their bad reputation comes from. I am sure you have seen pictures and videos from inside fur farms, or how the animals are held and killed. If not, I recommend you to watch them. If you feel it to be okay that way, that's fine for you then. But I will say it's not okay that way. Again, if these infos or videos would be so totally wrong, or only a black sheep of the business, why don't they show their white jacket and show us how it's done right? They can't. I hope that clears up the difference of meat and fur industry for you in a satisfying way.
I don't take your comment as negative, but your helpless feeling against the fur farm industry. I would like you better not to give up yet .
Have a nice day, too.

the comment I replied to, you say you have NO idea where al the fur goes to. you state this pretty blunt and clearly, and thats what I replied to with an answer. if you had known I wouldnt have told you. now that I told you about this matter, you state "you already knew" is exactly what a child of 8 years old would say..
like I said, if you find my opinion/comment negative, this is entirely onto yourself and what you make of it. I do find it a bit useless to "educate" while saying you dont know where all the fur goes to or what keeps the fur industry going, meaning you obviously didnt do much research on that matter. and I did not have to watch some crappy PETA video on youtube for that. I know what goes around.
the cows, chickens and pigs you eat were torture, kicked, dragged, clamped into a truck, hung upside down, paralized if lucky, some actualy dont get fully paralized and are fully concious while their troaths are being slit. and yes, this does happen even in your country, and you are clearly alright with that, I wonder why a fox is so special, and that chicken, who never see's daylight to shit out eggs for you, isnt.
a.k.a "save the foxies, baww"

If you've got no compunctions against exploiting the planet's resources or outright slaughtering an entire species because you think their pelts are "Sexay" I suppose it's not so much to think about the impact you're having on the world around you for your own selfish ends.

I too prefer fur on the animal live, it looks the best the way nature intended but im not against preserving the pelt of an animal that wasn't killed for its skin only! :}

But then you got upset about it? That is what doesn't make sense to me. I mean if you're anti fur then why add to pa group that is pro fur and then complain about it. I'm not trying to be mean or start anything I'm just curious.
