Description Edit: DA does this strange thing with the colors: If you full view the colors are correct. If you zoom out the picture seems desaturated.

These two are ferrets from the Sanctuary for Predators and Exotic Animals. They are actually not wild animals but domestic since they don't have a natural habitat. They were bred for chasing hares out of their burrows. Nowadays they are common pets. But kepp in mind: ferrets are herd animals! If you want one as a pet they only come in two

How did these guys end up at the Sanctuary? Well easy: It's hard for small children not to be able to pet anything and since tigers and cougars are not the best animals to pet they got a group of 5 ferrets from a local animal shelter and gave them a new home where those quirky fellows get a lot of love and pets. If you ask me they have the awesomest cage of all the animals. Or can you resist the charm of 4 hammocks?
Fun fact: They are never alone in a hammock. They like it best if all 5 are in one

More information about SPEA and pictures of the animals there can be found here: [link]
Thank you!

Haha, these two are WAY too cute for their own good! Completely masks how annoying they can be, especially when you're trying to clean their stalls!

That is just so cute! At first I thought they might be puppies. I'm sure that they get lots of attention from the kids. Have they ever thought about some rabbits for the kids? I don't know if that would fit the theme, but no one can resist a cute bunny!

Oh and just so you know, I haven't forgotten that I owe you a reply! It's just that last week was very busy for me. I will get it to you this week! Hope all is well!

Funny that you would mention this: They do have rabbits which even litter ever 2-3 months so they have little ones, too. But rabbits- like you mentioned - don't really fit the theme and they don't have the thrill of the exotic to them Oh and they don't live too safe there ... you know tigers think them yummy snacks.

: ) That's fine. I guessed that you had a lot to do. It was the same here. So don't worry about that at all!
