I'd like to think she never liked T (who broke her heart so badly that I HATE him) and had always been best friends with Del. The guy who managed to make her humble and she who managed to make him overcome his fear of bats.

Applejack: *Appearing next to Nidra with two full baskets of apples* Ah hope so, that boy had ah pretty bad encounter wif the vampire fruit bats las' week, he's been runnin' scared from anything that remotely sounds or looks like a bat since. And ta answer yer question. Apple Pie, applesauce, apple-bluebery salad, and some apple juice ta wash et all down.
Nidra: you ponies really like apples!
Applejack: Et's practically ah trademark uh the Apple clan, come on in younin we have some introducucin' tah do.
Nidra: *while trotting to the house with Appljack* so, what was the bad experience
Applejack: *small chuckle* fergot that 'e was supposed ta eat lunch outside tha bat Sanctuary Orchard. The little varmits ate most uh his lunch befer he could lay a hoof on it, while 'e was next ta his lunch box. A few got overzealous and bit his cutie mark thinkin' it was 'nother apple fer them ta chow on.
Nidra: *bursts out laughing, and keeps at it well into introductions*

Nidra: Where are you going? Come back! (turns to Annie, who's been standing behind her)

Annie: Wish I knew, I couldn't see anything of what was happening.

(It's the day of Nidra's birthday, and Celestia asked Apple Jack and Del to make a cake for the occasion. AJ and Del are traveling to Canterlot via train with the cake.)
Apple Jack: Alrighty, Del. When we get to the castle, we're going to meet with the others and surprise Princess Nidra for her birthday. Ah want you to spruce up the cake and bring it out from the back when Princess Celestia calls you. But, ah gotta warn you, she looks a bit...different.
Del: Different how?
Apple Jack: Different as in...well...you'll see when we get there.
Del: Alright then...
*They arrive to the castle, meet with the Elements of Harmony and their children, as well as Princess Celestia, Discord, and Illusion. They wait for Luna and Supernova to bring Nidra back, while Del puts the finishing touches on the cake in the back.*
Del: I wonder why Ma' said she looks different. How bad can she be for a princess?
*Luna, Supernova, and Nidra arrive, and everyone yells 'Surprise!' Celestia calls for Del to bring out the cake.*
Del: There's mah cue!
*The curtains open, and Del pushes a wheeled table with the cake (which is covering his field of vision) over to the sound of Celestia's voice. Once he feels he's gone far enough, he stops rolling, and moves to the side of the table, where he sees Nidra. She then looks to him, and see's the cake.*
Nidra: Wow! This is so beautiful! Thank you!
Del: ...
Nidra: Hello? I'm Princess Nidra. You are...Apple Jack's son?
Del: ...
Nidra: Mother, is he broken? What happened?
Luna: I can't be sure, my dear. Apple Jack, do you know the cause of this?
Apple Jack: Awe shucks, Del. Come on, snap out of it! It's only wings.
Del: ...
Nidra: What, he's afraid of my wings? They can't even take me off the ground! Just look at then!
Apple Jack: Ah don't think that's gonna...
Del: *Faints*

*Luna and Nidra trot up to the rusty gates of the vast farm. Nidra looked at the farm, and could see different kind of farm animals.Β
Nidra: Mother, this doesn't look very sanitary.Β
*Luna chuckled under her breath.Β
Luna: Do not be silly, my daughter. It is perfectly fine. The element of honesty lives here.Β
*Nidra's ears perked up, and she looked at her mother; who was still gazing out on the farm
Nidra:Really?
*Luna nodded
Luna: Yes, her name is Apple Jack. Speaking of which, I must talk to her. So, why I do that, you will meet her son, Golden Delicious.
*Nidra started to droop
Nidra: Why? Do I have to?
*Luna looked at her daughter
Luna: Why, of course, my dear. If you are going to be a princess, thou should be good to talking to new people.
*Nidra rolled her eyes, and nodded. They both went through the gates of the farm, and started to walk to the house. Luna knocked on the door, and an orange mare with a blonde mane opened it.Β
Apple Jack: Well, Howdy, Miss Princess Luna. What brings you here on such a fine day?
Luna: Hi, Apple Jack, thank you for greeting thou. I came here to talk to you about something with the Harmony Tree.Β
Apple Jack nodded, and then set her gaze on Nidra.
Apple Jack: Well, Hi! You must be Nidra.
Nidra nodded.
Apple Jack: Well, you sure are as pretty as your mother. Would you like to come in?
Nidra put on a fake smile, and nodded again.Β
Nidra, and Luna walked into the quaint home.Β
Apple Jack: DEL! GET DOWN HERE!
Del: COMIN' MA!
Nidra heard some trotting, and then came to face with a golden earth pony. The pony's eyes became very wide, and his pupils shrunk.
Apple Jack: Del, this is Princess Nidra.Β
Nidra: Hello, Golden Delicious.
Del: H-H-Hello
Princess Luna: Is something wrong? Is thou okay?
Apple Jack: He should be fine. Del, was wrong?
Del: Ain't nothin' wrong, Ma.
Nidra walked up to Del, and spread her wings.Β
Nidra: You sure?
Del was shaking.
Del: Uh-uh.
Nidra: Postive?
Del: Ah-uh
