Hot Head: Mommy, Mommy, Mommy! Ca–Candle: Quiet down Hot Head. Mommy's got a migraine.
Hot Head: Sorry.
Candle: What do you want?
Hot Head: Can we go play outside? I wanna try flying!
Candle: Hot Head, we've been over this before. Mommy and Daddy can't fly so we can't teach you.
Hot Head: Well can't we go outside?
Candle: Ask your father.
Hot Head: *shakes head*
Candle: Why not?
Hot Head: *mumbles and kicks at the floor*
Candle: *rubs her temples* You really want to fly, huh?
Hot Head: *nods*
Candle: *sighs* I suppose we could get you flight lessons.
Hot Head: Really?
Candle: Why not? Let me just ask your father. *mumbles* Like that'll do anything. *walks out of her room to find Flashpoint*

Candle: Our son wants to learn how to fly so–

Candle: I'm not finished. Our son wants to learn how to fly so I was thinking we could send him up to Cloudsdale for flying lessons.
Flashpoint: Do you have any idea how expensive that will be? He can't have flying lessons.
Candle: Dear–
Flashpoint: Money's tight right now, dear. He doesn't need to know how to fly anyways.
Candle: Fine *rolls eyes* You heard your father. Come Hot Head. Let's go outside.
Hot Head: *follows Candle to their yard*
Candle: Alright. We're outside. Go play or whatever.
Hot Head: But I wanna play with you...
Candle: Hot Head, I already told you Mommy has a migraine.
Hot Head: ...............
Candle: Aaaaand you don't know what that means. What I meant to say is that Mommy has a really bad headache right now.
Hot Head: Ooooh...
Candle: I'll be right here. Go play with your toys.

Candle: *stands up keeping Hot Head under her*
Flashpoint: *sees Hot Head's hoof* What did you do??? Are you going to have to go to the hospital again. If you do I swear to Celestia–
Candle: Dear, leave him alone.
Flashpoint: Stand up boy!
Hot Head: *stands up keeping little pressure on his hoof*
Flashpoint: Good. You're costing us so much money with all your hospital trips
Candle: It wasn't his fault. I fell asleep and wasn't watching him.
Flashpoint: Of course. I should've known. In the future make sure to keep an eye on your son.
Candle: My son?
Flashpoint: Yes your son! You gave birth to him!
Candle: Excuse me but you're the one who wanted a foal in the first place! You know very well I didn't want any kids!
Flashpoint: You never said that!
Candle: Yes I did! You never listen! Look, bottom line is he is just as much your son as he is mine. Having a foal is a team effort!
Flashpoint: I don't have time for this. I'm going inside. *walks away*

Flashpoint: *continues walking*
Candle: Whatever. *turns attention back to Hot Head*
Hot Head: *shaking*
Candle: I'm sorry you had to see that Hot Head. Are you okay?
Hot Head: *nods*
Candle: Do you need to go to the hospital?
Hot Head: *shakes head*
Candle: Are you sure? Don't just say that because of what dad said about the hospital. You're more important. Can you stand on your leg?
Hot Head: *puts more weight on his leg and winces* Yes
Candle: ................. okay.... Let me go get you a bandage for that cut
Hot Head: Mommy......?
Candle: Yes? What do you need?
Hot Head: Do you... not want me?
Candle: Oh Hot Head... Look, when me and and your father got married, I didn't want kids. That's true. But that doesn't mean I don't want you now. Okay?
Hot Head: What about daddy?
Candle: ............................... I.... don't know. I'm sure he cares. But he's been very concerned about money lately. He's trying his best to make sure that we get by.
Hot Head: Okay.........
Candle: Now sit right here, okay? I'm going to get you a bandage.
Hot Head: *nods*

A very fiery family
This little accident is why Hot Head wears tape on his leg. He had actually broken it and didn't treat it fast enough so the bone didn't heal properly. Without the extra support that the tape supplies, Hot Head has a limp.
At least 1/4 of the orphans' parents had to be buttholes XD

I can relate to this. Candle reminds me of my mom, I'm hot Head and FlashPoint is my X step dad.. sorry for making it sad but it just hit a cord with me.but I love how you make stories with your pictures! I guess what I'm trying to stay I love your work and what you out in it. You make stores that touch the heart : 3 keep up the good work.

Me and my brother have actually witnessed arguments between our mom and our father this way it's a was pretty bad it was money there was a lot of fighting and divorce luckily the fighting didn't get physical I don't remember what happened exactly but there was a lot of arguing over the phone and a lot of he-said she-said yes but back on memories I understand you were going for a slice of Life thing butt this may be a little too much sorry for dumping on you like that I apologize but what you did here is a very accurate representation of a struggling family that is going through financial trouble I am actually know what that's like so you got that pretty be nailed down pretty good again I'm sorry I had to I'm sorry I dumped on you guys like that sorry for the weird way this is spelled or anything or lack of punctuation I'm using a speech to text and it doesn't really recognize my monotone voice and I didn't get through school very well that's why I use it instead of spelling with a keyboard or anything.
