The darkness looks just like that of a full moon night. Barely enough light for you to see the demons and monsters skulking around. This piece of artwork really hit the unnerving spot for me, and I knew why, I just had a hard time finding the words for it... but now I know...
That look on her face is not a reassuring smile, but a desperate smile, like she's trying to convince you just as much as she's trying to convince herself that she's Khushi. That is her name. And she looks just like her. but something doesn't seem right. Something doesn't feel right. That instinct part of you that's supposed to keep you away from things you don't understand causes you to back up, just as much as she's stepping forward. "I-It's me, Khushi?" Isn't it? She looks like her, but why for the life of you can you not remember why this is wrong?! She's right here in the flesh!-
And then it hits you. In this full moon foggy night, you finally realize why you're so frightened, why you look like you're seeing a ghost... because you just might be. You remember that Khushi can't be here, because she had died years ago! This can't be her! A Zombie? A Restless Ghost? You don't know, but she doesn't look like she knows either... "No... it's not you... You're not Khushi..." as if those words were daggers, her eyes widen, she seems choked up, and she vanishes into thin air.
There, in the alley, Narmanda falls to her knees and cries her eyes out... something she hadn't done in years...
