The Zenn-Lavians effectively eliminated the plagues commonly associated with all human life on Earth such as hunger, disease, crime and war. The result of their quest for advancement and scientific discovery, they created a Utopian society. Norrin's parents were Jartran and Elmar Radd. Even with there Utopian society Zenn-Lavian still believe in some form of law and order in the form as the Zenn-La Homeguard. Jartran was a Homeguard Officer and Norrin followed in his footsteps training in law enforcement. Norrin dreamed of a society that had more substance, he believed that no goals were left to be achieved on Zenn-La and it star systems. He was filled with discontent and often went to the museum to watch holograms of Zenn-La's past that revolved around their wars and space travel. At the edge of Zenn-Lavian Utopia space, the Zenn-La Science Academy had made contact with a alien race from the Andromeda Galaxy, part of a corporation project asking for a Zenn-Lavian volunteer to become a member of the Xandarian StarCorps or Nova Corp, to bring Zenn-La into the Galactic Xandar Republic that was extending into the Milky-Way Galaxy through galactic peace and united against the cosmic chaos, with the growing intention between the Skrull Dominion and there long time enemy the Kree Confederation that threat Zenn-La and other smaller independent galactic system, it would be good to have alliance. Norrin was the chosen volunteer, not by the Science Academy but by the Nova Force the power that give the Nova Corp it power itself, Norrin as a Nova Corpsman adventure had started a adventure that would last up to the second highest rank Centurion. Time has past Zenn-Lavian Utopia was on the verge of galactic war with a unknown enemy, despised Norrin pleased and even the Zenn-La Science Academy request no help from the Nova Corp came, Norrin alone went to face the enemy with what was left of the Zenn-La Homeguard. Even with access to 100% of the Nova Force it was not enough to combat with the enemy nicknamed "The Other", Norrin knew of a stronger force that could help him if he can find them a enemy of The Other truth, and if that force would help a being called by so many names Gah Lak Tus or Galactus the Devourer of Worlds. Norrin had to leave the battleground but was able to find the World Eater, even with his dying wounds got from The Other he was able to hold his ground in combat against Galactus, Norrin was finally able to talk with the Devourer of Worlds asking for help with The Other, Galactus had agree out of survival of himself as the The Other main target was the Devourer of Worlds and his power cosmic that flows through, as Zenn-La being a enhance science society The Other could used there knowledge and even technology on Galactus. As agreement to save Zenn-La Norrin would surrender his life and become his hearld. Norrin was transformed as a star die giving birth to the Silver Surfer.
