xhdpi and hdpi represent different screen resolutions, like hdpi phones are 480x800 and xhdpi are 720x1280.

to use this theme you have to have a custom rom like aokp or cm9/cm10 installed on ur phone for it to work.

yes, maybe its because i live in Asia. i couldnt buy any paid apps. i have paranoid android installed on my GNex. it has theme chooser in it. is there any way to buy the apps without having to go to play store?

you mean where are all the images located, in the apk, and if your on AOKP you can change them within rom control.
