I see what you mean. Now that I look at it though and think on it, I kind of like that. For me, it adds to the mood of the piece because it sticks out. And because it sticks out, there is more importance placed on it than anything in the picture. An empty swing. Definitely contributes to the mood. It would be an interesting study to see this piece with a warped swing next to its original.

This absolutely belongs in a children's halloween book. The only thing that feels odd is the swing being so straight when everything else has a subtle curve to it. Love the piece though.
