I read ciaee's comment, and while she's right (my eyes are also dragged away) I see an advantage/twist in this: Jack-O-Lantern is a ghost, so looking at him directly could be - hindered... Well, I somehow like the effect

If I were to nitpick, one thing that's bothering me is how the focus seems to be on the tree branch rather than the character or the pumpkin. My eyes keep going there because it's the most detailed part of the painting. Other than that, splendid work.

yes,i might have gone too far on the detail of the tree,however,i tried using the warm and bright color to bring out the contrast between the foreground via the pumpkin lantern to atlease set the focus point onto that particular area and also the have the character to be more prominent and blend well with the composition.
