Yep, snails are definitely inverts. They in the mollusk phylum, along with a variety of animals including all the cephalopods (octopus, squid, nautilus, etc) and bivalves or "shellfish" (like clams, oysters, scallops, etc). And a little more specifically, snails are in the gastropod (literally "stomach-foot") class along with animals like slugs, nudibranchs and sea hares.
