Description Saw someone get bullied today.

About two hours work total i'd say, mostly finding quotes. The quotes and statistics are from various web sites; quotes range from Gandhi to the Beatles to Depeche Mode and more.

I would really, really appreciate any comments.

Very nicely done. You used some really powerful words and conveyed
some heavy emotions. Very nice use of John lennon's lyrics. He was a
great man much like I think this piece is great. Beautiful Colors, soft yet
powerful at the same time with a very powerful overtone. Nicely done.

Your welcome. It is a nice deviation and I try to convey that while also offering Why i like what i like, ya know. use a little logic behind why and all

i'v neva seen summat like that before, its really thought provoking, it must have taken you ages to do the reasearch to come up with all those quotes, i'v done summat with quotes before when just doodling in lectures but i might hav to give it a go making a composition of them on computer, you've inspired me to giv it a go.

Very nice piece of work. Not only does it look nice, with well chosen colours and images, but there's some important messages in there, something we could all do with being reminded of sometimes.

This piece is wonderful, and I'm glad that you were inspired to do something about what you saw instead of sit around and discuss it, as I often do. Not that discussion isn't productive..
I like the dove, and the background, and I don't feel that the words stand out too much. That is the point. In fact, for me as a writer, it isn't so much the image as it is the words, though giving it images and a background definitely increases its interest for most people.
I'm not sure how you made this, but I can tell you with absolute certainty that I would buy this if it were made into a wall hanging.. perhaps crocheted?
I often talk about how I think that the more we do to supposedly make the world a "better place", the worse it seems to get, sometimes by the same people who are supposedly trying to make it "better". Sometimes by other people, who just don't care, or only care about their little world.. it's sad. If you haven't read Ishmael and My Ishmael, two books by Daniel Quinn, I highly recommend them.
Thank you for doing your part in changing the world.. maybe next time you will be able to do something to stop it, instead of simply walking away, though I do understand why you did. I often find it difficult to actively contribute to change.
I'm going to add this to my favorites.

the colour is nice and soothing, but the words sorta kill it.

Kerbi In reply to Ozmosis [2004-08-25 10:17:22 +0000 UTC]

Possibly.. but i don't really see how the piece would be effective without words... do you think there's a better way i could've used word effects?

Try to make the words blend in more, cause the stand out to much.

Great quote choices. I agree with most of them. Imagine is one of my favorite songs, People Are People too. I like the small squares texture throughout it as well. Blue and white are great choices to symbolize peace. I think the background could use a little bit more contrast though, maybe some darker blues.

very good.

perhaps moving a few more quotes to the centre? and fading out a few a bit farther, just to make them seem more randomly placed.

aside from those quibbles, awsome message, and awsome delivery of that message. i wish you the best of luck furthering your cause.

The thumbnail view doesn't do it justice. The color scheme works as well in this theme. Use of Asian symbols seems a bit trendy, though. It might be construed as going counter to the theme. If more than one language is included, why not include more. Like having some of Ghandi's quotes in Hindi. Or Confucious in Chinese.

Out of your gallery, I liked this one the most so far. It's a pretty green. [ link ]

Yeah, there's a lot i thought about including, like this whole deal of quotes from different religions, and all, just basically didn't have time or space Thanks though!

This is a really strong piece, The sources you've collected have been well chosen , and the symbols work well to. They have been composed well to, as I do not find myself confused by overlapping (as there are none ) . Good choice of colour scheme too calming, blue colours work very well

Your point has been put over well, bravo
