Description Mirage's horrible luck is a running joke in this house. He's so hapless sometimes, and no ever believes anything he says. Not even Red, whose legendary paranoia is currently being ... distracted by all the administration work I had him doing prior to the move. Me sneaking ROTF Ravage into the house behind Red's back without telling anyone probably didn't help matters either.

As for Ravage himself ... he was the only part of that movie I liked even a little, and the toy is pretty sweet looking. The Thing That Bugs Me is that his head is completely immobile, which is a pain for positioning him. He literally has no spine flexibility whatsoever, and it can make him seem a little ridiculous in certain poses. That and his little buckteeth (daaawww!). He's been living in my toolbox with all my rock samples and so far, no one but Mirage has had the curiosity to go near it.

I self-medicated (ie, was drunk) to see ROTF and I *still* hated that movie like burning. I refuse to see DOTM at all and I don't usually do that point-blank. I appreciate what a lot of fans have done to the Movie-verse in fiction and it has some fascinating elements in it, but there is just so much garbage of so many varieties that those movies leave me feeling ill and ragey.

So I just enjoy the fanfiction

Tsk, tsk, tsk, you naughty. x3 Ah, who am I kidding; I sneak in candy and sandwiches into the theaters. I shouldn't judge.

Yes, Micheal Bay should not direct. I know he puts a lot of love into it (I mean, look at the freaking animation!), but he shouldn't direct. He goes a little nuts.

But, yes, I agree. It has cool stuff. Mirage, however, should never be Cliffjumper red.

Kenthayle In reply to Artistdragon [2012-07-09 11:17:42 +0000 UTC]

Oh, that part is all ILM... they did the designs, the transformations and the animation. Michael Bay may have the say and give the final approval, but the love in those designs is all from the studio.

I refuse to consider Dino is Mirage. He's just a Movie-verse bot who turns invisible to me. Mirage is... Mirage

I will never say that the animation is not fantastic, because it is. I just wish Bay worked on the story a bit more. ;.;

I just got ROTF Ravage not long ago, I dislike the movie but he looked cool. And my I got DOTM Bumblebee as a gift, so it seemed like it would be funny to get Ravage.

I doubt Bumblebee appreciated it.

Poor Mirage~

I do have a Bumblebee. I don't know if Ravage has gone after him yet though. He is on the "Repair Shelf" because I got him at a flea market and he has no feet

Crosse-Tales In reply to Kenthayle [2011-06-15 01:14:04 +0000 UTC]

Yeouch, poor Bumblebee! D;

Ravage stays up on a shelf with Soundwave in my house. It's him and SOundwave, wall, Cliffjumper and Red Alert, wall, Optimus and Movie Bumblebee, wall, Thrust and Dirge. xD

I don't think Red appreciates me sticking him between two walls with Cliffjumper.

But I doubt any would ever risk to almost six-foot drop to get down. Unless they aim well...they may land on my bed. But Nyx would probably try and eat them.

Kenthayle In reply to Crosse-Tales [2011-06-15 02:58:33 +0000 UTC]

Mine live a little closer to the ground XD Except Drift, he likes to be up high to watch all the craziness unfold. Red especially likes to be at a conversation height most of the time.

Poor Bumblebee indeed! I have no idea where I am going to find feet for him. I suppose I'll have to start stalking kitbashers to see if they'll sell me parts ...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Crosse-Tales In reply to Kenthayle [2011-06-15 03:03:48 +0000 UTC]

They would prefer it, but if I were to set them any lower my Cat, Nyx, would try and eat them. Soundwave has already had a few nasty run-ins with her. Ravage hates her.

Red is probably still mad at me for accidentally dropping him a while back, it popped his right arm off. Now the joint is loose and he can't hold it up long, it just falls back to his side. And letting my Nephew get a-hold of him to pp his leg off...SOMEHOW! I don't know how...

What model is he? If you're buying online, I might be able to help you search. ^^

Kenthayle In reply to Crosse-Tales [2011-06-15 03:27:14 +0000 UTC]

Cybertronian Bumblebee, the mustard-yellow one with the pink highlights. Not my first choice, but I found him in the 2$ bin and he has such a cute little face

Your Red Alert is the Generations one, right? Mine has such trouble with his arms. They're always getting loose. I tried the super glue on the ball joint trick, but I used the wrong glue and nearly fubar'd his arm for good. I've been using nail polish to tighten the joints now, but it needs to be taken off and reapplied every now and them. I bought some glue that is supposed to be safe for plastic, but I haven't been brave enough to try it yet.

Your nephew popped his whole leg off? Right at the hip? Ouch! Poor Red!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Crosse-Tales In reply to Kenthayle [2011-06-15 03:40:01 +0000 UTC]

I have Cybertronian Cliffjumper, they're feet/legs are just...so...interestingly made aren't they? Let me guess, missing them at the knee joint? Cliffjumper's right leg pops off at the knee every time he Transforms.
I know what you mean~ Even Cliffjumper is ridiculously adorable! Don't tell him I said that, though.

Yup, must just be the model. I'm afraid to try any sort of glue, I'm afraid it might make in immobile or something. Doubt he would appreciate me getting his arm stuck in one position. Nail polish? Didn't think about using that...don't think I have any, though.

Right off the hip. Took me a while repair him, too. Needless to say, he didn't like kids before. He definitely doesn't like them now. I'm sure he'd much sooner deal with our Neighbor's dog than a kid again.

Though I was never going to get it back on, though. Freaked us both out a bit.

Kenthayle In reply to Crosse-Tales [2011-06-15 04:36:28 +0000 UTC]

Actually, it's just his feet, where they attach at the base of the heel. They don't even look like they fall off that easily. I'm perplexed as to how this happened

Super glue usually takes about thirty seconds or so to dry ... plenty of time to move the joint around so it doesn't seal. But yeah, I'm worried too. At least the nail polish I can remove and it doesn't seem to damage the plastic. It's a temporary solution at best, though, but it does make his arms less floppy. Just use clear nail polish around the ball joint and have some remover handy

Crosse-Tales In reply to Kenthayle [2011-06-15 05:08:02 +0000 UTC]

Oh, the little black things? Yeah, they fall off a lot easier than you'd think. They fall of Cliff' every time I touch 'em.

I didn't nail polish could work as something like that. o0 I'll give it a try though. Might try super glue someday...once I get brave enough to...

I had 'em in a small box, but it got spilled over a lot.

We had a really bad Twister producing storm not long ago, I grabbed 'em all, threw 'em in a box, and out them in a safe (hopefully) place just in case. That's how I lost the engine thing...His was placed back in that box, spilled over, placed somewhere else, and is now missing.

Hahaha, poor Mirage. It's bad when even Red thinks you're being paranoid.

And ROTF Ravage is an awesome toy, I completely agree. Just got a hold of DOTM Lazerbeak. Also a kick-aft toy. The wings are cool, and the neck is super bendy, which I didn't expect at all. He's an awesome chicken-faced dragon thing.

ROTF was god-awful, but I can't help but enjoy watching it. I think it's the Sam dying part that makes it all worth while. Although, the twins do make me want to get violent. Sadly, they are my godson's favourite. I think I need to introduce him to the Lambo twins.

And I must say that you have impeccable timing with your submissions...you always put some up when I need a laugh.

Kenthayle In reply to oedipa [2011-06-07 06:36:59 +0000 UTC]

I wanted to like those movies, I really did. But there's just so much hate-worthy in them that it ruins anything that could have been good. I don't care enough about Sam to even be happy about his death scene. I'd be happier if he and most of the human cast just weren't there for the most part.

Your godson must be introduced to the Lambos!

oedipa In reply to Kenthayle [2011-06-07 09:14:41 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, the humans needed much less air time, and the bots more character development. hey weren't really Transformers movies, more like movies with the transformers in them. I've heard the next one is supposed to the best of the bunch.

That's not saying much to me ... but I will see it and judge for myself. The previews do make it look pretty good. It does seem like they've given up the Transformer "feel" for a generic apocalyptic robot invasion of Earth but ... reserving judgment
