Description On our third day of excavation in Jordan, I came down with the 24-hour stomach bug from hell. I quite literally had to jump out of the hole and throw up behind a rock pile, and then spent the next day or so shivering and passing out while my body cheerfully purged itself of everything and anything I'd ever consumed in the last ten years of my life.

It was so much fun.

I drew this in between bouts of clenching abdominal pain. I haven't been so sick since I was a kid. Someone big and safe to cuddle right then would have been worth the world.

Transformers belong to HasTak, except for when I'm sick. Then Red Alert is mine.

I feel for ya. Jeez being sick is no fun. Especially when you've got both Mustang and Trans AM KITT AAAANND Ratchet yelling at you.... But I guess that's what you get when you go home sick from school for two days in a row. Don't they know all sorts of bugs and stuff float around the air in a high school..... more so because Las Cruces High School is being totally renovated? They're justΒ  going to have to understand.

I was away from my Ratchets, so I didn't get yelled at. Red worries too much to yell when I'm that sick. He just snuggled and made sure I had enough water and a bucket close by, lol

Oh lord---you have my condolences. Nothing sucks more than not being HOME and going through that. I went through that back in April. My son got it first and I was up with him, then my daughter and I got it at the same time and I was taking care of her with the both of us quarantined in the same room for 24 hours. They both went to school the next day like nothing happened---lalala--my body swore deep, ancient revenge for subjecting it to little kids germs. But hey, if you're in good with Ratchet, get him to invent a vaccine cause--rhinovirus SUCKS. That, and my toys won't cuddle with me (they fear my young'uns...).

Yeah, it sucked pretty bad. That's an experience I don't ever want to repeat. All I wanted in the whole wide world was for my body to feel normal again. Probably the longest 24 hours of my life

I should totally have brought a Ratchet. Damn hindsight

XD YES! I just got sick this week and ugh. I couldn't miss school but my brain was just so blah! XD Ended up taking a whole bottle of NyQuil to kick it out of my system. XD

I have never, in my life, gotten this kind of bug before and I hope and pray it never happens again. I've never been in so much pain!

Some of the top-end illnesses are truly intolerable. I once got a "mild" case of shingles (which directly fires off pain in your nerves). I can only imagine what a serious case of it is like ... *shudders*

I hope you don't have to deal with any such thing ever again! Once is definitely more than enough.

It is an experience I don't care to repeat. At least not without someone to take care of me and bring me things and pet me while I writhe in misery

I got shingles when I was twelve, so I was lucky. It's much milder when you're younger. Still felt like a pad of prickles on my skin though.

Even with someone taking care of you ... it's just not worth it! Unfortunately it's hard to tell the universe "no, thanks, but thanks again for asking" when it decides it's your turn for something truly miserable. Ah well ...

12? Wow - that *is* young for shingles. I'm glad it was mild at least; I got mine in the late 30's and they made a similar comment, but it was definitely worse than a prickle pad. I can only imagine what it is like for someone in their 60's.
